CD packaging and Dvd packaging

There are lots of CD Packaging Companies who say they are good. Some even claim that they are one of the best CD packaging companies around. But, of course, most of them are just lying. Your album means the world to you and you only want it touched and manufactured by the pros.
So how do you know if the CD packaging company, you are about to hire is any good?
They've been around for a long time. A CD Packaging company that's been around for 3 years is likely more reliable than those that have been only around for one year. A CD packaging company that's been around for 10 years is likely more reliable than those that have been only around for 3 years.

Very few complaints against the company. Check the company's records on the Better Business Bureau to find out if they have complaints. Or you can google the CD Packaging Company's name and read the reviews. Note that there are also some people (competitors of the CD Packaging Company) who'll write bad reviews about the company. But if the complaints are too many, it's much safer if you just choose a CD packaging company that has no (or very few) complaints.

Someone You Know Recommends The Company. This is probably the best way to find a good CD Packaging company. If someone close to you recommends a company, then they're willing to be held accountable for your experience with the CD packaging company. This only means their experience with the company was really, really good! You can also ask them to call the company and introduce you so they'd do their best to please you both. No company wants to lose 2 clients by screwing up one project.

Solid Portfolio. Look for their portfolio so you would know if their works are any good. You should also check whether they have done something similar to the CD packaging you want for your album. Are they experts in die-cut packages or are they just with standard jewel CDs?

Good Customer Service. Call up your list of CD packaging Companies and talk to them about your project. Do they sound like they know CD Packaging and duplication by heart or do they sound like they have no idea about CD Packaging at all? You should also e-mail them and if they're so late in replying, there's a chance that they'll not send you your CDs on time.

I know you are very concerned of your album especially if you haven't hired a CD duplication house before. But take note that even the best companies will commit mistakes and not all new CD Packaging companies, have amateur-ish output.
