A Few of My Favourite Things?
...no actually, there are many of them
I Love:
Family, Friends, Home, Sunsets, Sunrises, Starry Nights, The Sea, Clouds, Rainbows, Clean Air, Space (around me), (...oh yes, and 'Outer Space' also), Mystical/Mystery/Magical/Dreamy things, and short holidays by car.
- Why short? We love our dear old farmhouse and our little 10 acre retirement farm too much to be away long - in more than 10 years, our longest 'away' was 11 days - and we were homesick!
- Why car? Love to start/go/stop/stay/move on - whenever we feel like it - not tied to any time frame or 'itinerary'.
- Why not plane? If I was meant to be a sardine I would have been born in a can. And you can't knit or crochet on flights anymore in case you stab someone with your needles. (I'd be more likely to stab someone if I didn't have my needles!)
Animals- Dogs, Kangaroos, orphaned almost anythings, and once only, a caged bird - a canary. (don't like having caged creatures - even our hens are free-range, with a house they choose at night.)
Best Friends of the 'toy' kind - Ted Bear Esq., Soft Toy Kids (see lenses for details), Ceramic/Porcelain dolls and Calico Ladies.
Authors - Too many to list in a lens - suffice to say - A Huge Variety (& don't ask for most favourite - impossible!) OK, OK - just a couple - Leon Uris, Jodie Picoult, James A. Michener, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Wilbur Smith, Catherine Cookson, James Clavell, Jeffrey Archer, etc. etc. - and then there's a heap of Aussies like Colleen McCullough, Bryce Courtenay, Graham Masterton, Ruth Park, Neville Shute, Nancy Cato - etc.,etc., (see what I mean?)
Music & Composers & Musicians - Yes...well...almost every category of music...in fact, what don't I like? - I'm sure that would be easier...Heavy Metal, Punk Rock, Chamber Music, 'Way Out' Jazz or other, some Opera, all heavy, ponderous, gloomy Classical variety. Sure there's more, just can't think of any other type.
Movies - Again, far too many to list - but just a few?
Schindler's List, Gone With the Wind, Rob Roy, Sleepless in Seattle, A Few Good Men, Braveheart, Call of the Wild, Pretty Woman, Dances With Wolves - etc., etc.
Too hard - their are just too many I have loved. (It's been a long life so far, don't forget)
TV & Radio - A variety - but less than any of the other categories. Although I do love a lot of 'live' shows where young (and not so young) talent are given their chance to shine...but hate 'reality' shows (I've lived too many true 'realities' for any of these to gel). But I do love BBC World radio in my earphones through some long insomniac hours. And of late, creative juices flow freely at such times - must be that a little rest refreshes and inspires!

And ALL things that make me LAUGH -
(creating wrinkles of the upwardly mobile kind!)
Living My Life
...and Learning Every Day
Not always in strictly chronological order...I haven't figured that one out yet! (Ah-h-h-h, cut me some slack...I'm a Gran!)
The Saga WILL continue, I promise
...Oh no! Really??
Yes, but there will be some laughs, and some tears - and you can choose to share or bypass anything you wish.
It's Off to Work we Go - pre-farming office work
And after we have been apprentice farmers, the next Learning Curve - becoming Dairy-farmers...that particular learning curve and others are still to come.

Why I call myself - cdcraftee
...nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more!
Guess it may just have something to do with my passion for handcrafts - in particular knitting, crochet and beading any of these.
(And there will be more lenses on this subject to follow - like -
Rugs, Afghans,'Granny Squares' ...just as Cuddly, no matter the name.)

More How-To's will be answered and demonstrated
...verbally and visually
Yes! - there will be even more advice from the 1890's - again from Dr. Kellogg -
( I can only imagine how impatiently you await more scintillating suggestions from the worthy and wordy Doctor!)
But wait! There's more!
and from yet another valuable and venerable source...Lady Hackett... in 'The Australian Household Guide'.

And Here They Are
...I'm SO Proud!
100 Angel Blessings!
...how inspiring is that?
Each time a lens of mine has been blessed by a Squid Angel, it has been such an amazing and welcome surprise. Each and every time I have been thrilled, honoured, humbled and extremely grateful. Deepest thanks, Angels.
And for quite a while, I tried to keep up with listing the Angels - and the lenses they blessed. You will have seen them all here for quite a while - but I have been getting a tad behind on this task. But now I have just been notified that I have received my 100th Squid Angel Blessing..and feel suitably 'challenged' to rectify this neglected area. Within days...I'm just SO busy right now.
At least I DO have a lens to celebrate just some of the many angels there have been so far in my life. (Squidoo Angels are amongst the most recent)

And Here Are My Other Special SquidAngels
...Bless their Beautiful Hearts!
And Another Angel, and some more
...it's Just Heavenly.
Beyond 'Human' Understanding
....More Blessings!
...but definitely NOT beyond the most sincere 'Human' gratitude.I have waited a lifetime for this - and here is my 'time in the sun'. Wow!
Have I died?
...and gone to Heaven?
Feels like a really warm and fuzzy place, here...with my head in these blessed clouds!End of Year Celebrations
...and Memories of Special Times
P.S.
I write Ezine Articles, too
...and I am having such a happy and satisfying time there, also.

- I feel that I have found a soul-mate. So many of your loves are mine also, excluding your men, of course. Every lens I have read so far I have enjoyed immensely. I will be returning again and again to enrich my soul.
