Welcome To CDT's Squidoo Lensography...
Hi, I'm CDT. Welcome to my "lensography"!
If you're not familiar with Squidoo, you may be saying to yourself "Lensography? What's one of them?".
Put simply a "lens" is a webpage on Squidoo - a webpage written by an individual with their own unique perspective on a topic. A "lensography" is a list or showcase of "lenses" written by a particular individual.
On this page you'll find lots (not all) of my Squidoo lenses neatly categorised for your delight and delectation...plus a few insights into me, what makes me tick and stuff that floats my boat :)
This page is a sort of CDT flavoured Squidoo soup...thick and chunky (like me!) with little bits of personal info about me thrown in for extra yummyness :P
Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About CDT!
Well...perhaps not quite "everything" :)
Feel free to browse at your leisure...no purchase necessary :P

10 Things You (Probably) Didn't Know About CDT!
Well, some of you might...
1. Like 52% of the world's population, I am female. I like being in a majority...
2. I am British...I live in a town called Slough, in Berkshire in the south-east of England, about 20 miles west of London and I am of Welsh ancestry...
3. I love dogs. I have 3 dogs, all of them are Lurchers. For those who've never heard of Lurchers, a Lurcher is a form of sighthound crossed with another working type of dog. This gives you a hunting dog with speed and brains that also likes to sleep a lot :)
All of my dogs are rescue dogs - strays that I have re-homed...
4. I love Heavy Metal in all it's glorious forms. I am especially fond of Death Metal...
5. I love trees. Trees are seriously cool...when I die, I want my final resting place to be under a tree...
6. I am the mother of identical twins...
7. I really, really like leftover pizza (that's been in the fridge overnight) for breakfast...
8. My favourite alcoholic drink is cider...
9. My favourite literary character is "Morpheus" from "The Sandman" graphic novels by Neil Gaiman...
10. I really do think blondes have more fun ;)

10 More Things You Didn't Know About CDT
1. I have a pierced nose. I had a pierced nose way before it became trendy. I wear a nose ring
2. I suffer from pulsatile tinnitus. I may well write a lens about it one day
3. I habitually wear black. I fool myself it makes me look thinner :D
4. My favourite colours are blue, yellow and purple
5. I am a Neo-Pagan
6. My mind is kept wide open
7. I prefer tea to coffee...I mean proper British tea though - murky brown liquid in a mug. A nice cup of tea can help with so many of life's little problems...
8. If I was ever stranded on a desert island, I would hope that a crate containing a lifetimes supply of black mascara was washed up with me
9. I think my worst fault is a tendency to be indecisive...but I'm not sure ;)
10. I am happiest when I am close to nature. Preferably a sunny day, sitting under a tree, with a good book and my dogs snuggled next to me...bliss...

A CDT By Any Other Name...
Other names I'm known by in cyberspace...
I'm known as CDT on Squidoo, because when I first discovered Squidoo way back in early 2007, I built my first ever lens to promote my company, Clearway Driver Training, a driving school based in Slough, Berkshire - I decided to call myself CDT after it's initials!
I soon realised the potential for self-expression on Squidoo and have since built lenses on many different subjects and niches including learning to drive in the UK, British Literature, and Heavy Metal. I've recently started to build lenses on a niche subject, inspired by my ancestry! - Welsh food and traditional Welsh recipes.
Rather than confuse myself by having different Squidoo accounts for each niche, I've just stuck with CDT here.
In other places on the internet though, I'm better known by a few other names e.g;
Nemesis - I'm so widely known as Nemesis that some people actually call me "Nem" to my face :)
Angel of Death - on Heavy Metal forums due to my love of Death Metal and because Angel of Death is a kickass song by the mighty Slayer \m/
Loopy Lou - 'cos my name is Lou and sometimes I'm loopy...
The picture here is an "alternative" avatar which I use in a few places...

Slough - My Home Town
Where I live
I live in the town of Slough which is in the county of Berkshire, around 20 miles to the west of London and about 3 miles from Windsor which is where the Queen lives...sometimes!
Slough, Berkshire, England
Slough is a town in the county of Berkshire in the south-east of England, approximately 20 miles to the west of London. Slough has an "image problem" courtesy of an infamous poem about Slough by Sir John Betjeman and the antics of the fictional David Brent in the BBC TV series "The Office", but that's not the "real" Slough!..

Marillion - The Univited Guest

This song has personal significance for me...but like the spoilsport I am, I'm not going to tell you any more about that :P

CDT's Favourite Songs - "King of Dreams" By Deep Purple
Deep Purple - King of Dreams
Deep Purple aren't "Metal" either, but this song has a bit of a Neil Gaiman connection, hence it's presence in this particular spot.
Neil G is a writer of awe-inspiring excellence and I regard some of his work to be totally in a league of it's own - most specifically The Sandman graphic novels. This song is here because Morpheus from The Sandman (also known as the King of Dreams) is possibly THE coolest character in literature EVER, so it's kind of a tribute to him and Neil Gaiman...and in addition this song is undoubtedly one of Deep Purple's better efforts and they deserve some recognition for having been doing what they do for so long...

- This is a wonderful way to write a lensography. I haven't added details to mine, when I'm less tired I will! (I am going for giant now myself, just a couple more days!) I think you should wear blue, yellow and purple instead of black if you love them. Also, I'm amazed by anybody who has the courage and patience to be a driving instructor. Good luck!

- Great lensography, love it. 5***** well deserved. I laughed when I saw you had a lens about nodding dogs. I used to work with a Japanese company north of London, and one of the Japanese managers used to nod his head uncontrollably (like they do) when he was spoken to. His nickname was "Noddy Dog".
