Love these Christmas traditions from all over the world. The videos of Christmas in Romania are beautiful, even when I didn't understand the poem your comments allow to know what the kids are doing. I agree that no matter where you are Christmas is always beautiful; family and friends get together to celebrate and spend a wonderful time. I enjoyed the video with songs and scenes of Christmas in different places. :)
    Merry Christmas Kathy!

I've spent 4 Christmases in Australia. 105 degrees on Christmas Day in Alice Springs. Everyone near the coast goes to the beach on Christmas Day.

HI! Do any of you know how Romanians decorate for xmas?
im talking tradtitonal romanians xmas decorations! plz b specific!

Desp...I think a lot depends on families. The tree is decorated like here, with typically old family decorations. I have seen several families trees and they all had lights, balls, other small ornaments. Some people use candles around the house, and I have seen branches of the tree put on a mantle or bookcase with a candle. Anything specific, or a specific area you're looking for as I can try to get the info for you.

What a wonderful collection of memories you have here, Kathy! There are wonderful to read and look at - thank you for sharing and a very Merry Christmas to you.

I spent 2 Christmas' in the Virgin Islands, where I lived with a group of friends, all of us from here in NH. Very different, and we were all so homesick for our 'normal' Christmas' up here that we all ended up working on Christmas Day to ease the homesickness. ;-)

What a wonderful video you made for us, Kathy! Love it! Such lovely images and videos here. Can I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

(Oh and Peter's comment about Turks and their red underwear made me smile!)

Delightful stories of your Christmas' around the world. I loved the Hawaiian Christmas tree in a shell picture. I've never celebrated Christmas in any other country, but have celebrated the holiday in Seven (7) different States in the US in my life's journey. Merry Christmas to you.

I grew up in New Zealand and Christmas is celebrated there with a variety of imported traditions. But being summer time this often means getting outdoors, going to the beach or having a barbeque with family.

My first overseas Christmas experience was in Egypt with other expats. A normal working day, but we had roast turkey and leftovers for a week.

I am now living in Turkey, the birthplace of Saint Nicolas. Here December 25 is a normal working day too. Turks celebrate New Years with trees, lights and red underwear.

Lovely! Wherever I celebrate Christmas I think of it as a time of hope for peace and goodwill to all. Eating is good too, and that can certainly be accomplished anywhere in the world!

Beautiful lens! Well organized and I loved reading it :) I was in Dallas last year during Christmas time on a business trip, and this year we are in Bern, Switzerland. Feels great to see the celebrations in different countries, apart from my homeland India.

I spent Christmas in a Muslim country (Tunisia) many years ago but the hotel organized Christmas festivities for us, European tourists - for them it was more an entertaining eve. So, there was nothing related to Christmas since it's a Christian holiday but we've had a good time. However, while I prefer having Christmas in my home country, I'd like to have one in England.
This is a very interesting lens, Kathy!

Thanks Dom, and Merry Christmas to you and yours :) I hope one day you do get to enjoy it in England.
