How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.

How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can't comprehend.

I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

"Mother" is such a simple word,
But to me there's meaning seldom heard.
For everything I am today,
My mother's love showed me the way.

I'll love my mother all my days,
For enriching my life in so many ways.
She set me straight and then set me free,
And that's what the word "mother" means to me.

the things we ask of you.
You should know you're very special
for all the things you do.

I'm thankful for a wife like you,
no one could take your place.
A heart like yours for those in need
is a thing one can't replace.

I was very troublesome, bothersome, burdensome, quarrelsome, and tiresome

It's down to you what I've become
You were Tweedledee to my Tweedledum (a nice reference to Alice in Wonderland)

As you can see- anything that ends with 'um'; you might like to make it a poem about maths. And don't forget you can usually use plurals like sums.
The third line doesn't need to rhyme so can be anything

eg:-You were my rock to lean on

In the lottery of life, I got the best
You're the very bestest in the world
So, Mrs. (Joan Elsie Smith) of ( Consett)

So, for example

You're as lovely as they come

And for Northerners (North of England that is), useful rhyming words for Mam
am, pram, lamb, exam

So, for example

You were always there as I grew up
And I'm very proud, I am
In the lottery of life, I'm a winner
I got the bestest Mam

Or another example

You didn't study for this job
Or have to pass an exam
So how come you turned out to be
The World's most expert Mam

Another useful template for Mother's Day is

So, for example:-

Mum, (Mam,) you are my everything
This card is sent to say
Relax, and put your feet up
On your very special day

The main thing to do is have fun. When you have fun with these things your natural passion for life floods out and your mum will see that and it'll make her feel proud to be your mother.
