Stars of different hues: A list of part-Asian celebrities

Being multiracial continues to be a social challenge for many people. But in the world of entertainment, it doesn't seem to be a big problem. In fact, a lot of big celebrity names actually have mixed heritage. Did being multiracial help propel them to success? We may never know, but one thing's for sure - their fans continue to love them nonetheless.

In this lens, I have listed some of the famous celebrities with Asian descent. To make sure there's a lot of room in this list, I did not limit the term "Asian" only to chinky-eyed folks. Instead, any celebrity with parents or grandparents native from any country in the Asian continent can make it to this list. Enjoy reading, and don't forget to leave me a comment below :)

African-American + Filipino

Apl.de.ap is the stage name used by Black Eyed Peas member Allan Pineda Lindo, Jr. While his looks easily gives away his African-American ethnicity, this successful rapper and record producer actually has Filipino blood. Abandoned by his U.S. airman father, an organization matched him with an American sponsor with whom he permanently moved to the United States when he was 14 years old.

Pea going solo?
