Carlos Santana has always one of my favorite musicians since I first saw Santana at Woodstock in 1969 and then the release of Santana's 1970 album Abraxas sealed the deal.

With a mixture of blues guitar and an Afro-Cuban rhythm, the music of Carlos Santana has endured 40 years, appealing to several generations. Carlos, was induced in the Rock 'n Roll hall of fame in 1998. Although Carlos' first hit was in 1970, Carlos again made news in 1999 as Carlos again rose up with the charts with Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 with the hit Smooth and won Carlos another 8 Grammy awards to add to his huge award collection.

Smooth is the perfect way to express the fragrances of Carlos Santana. I say fragrances, since Carlos has created a fragrance for both men and for women.

Carlos Santana for Women is an unusual but stunning mixture of neroli flower, california pear skin, cassis, coconut water, freesia, japanese plum, iris, musk, sandalwood and the ever so slight hint of chocolate. Carlos Santana perfume fits in just as well at the office as it does clubbing.

I have a hard time purchasing a fragrance for my husband that we both like. If I like it, it's too sweet for him and if he likes it, it's too intense for me.

However, we both agree that Carlos Santana for Men is a fragrance that we both adore (well he doesn't say adore - he says that it's a true mans cologne).

Carlos Santana For Men is a subtle blend of
bergamont, lavender, mandarin, cinnamon bark, apple, maja accord, sandalwood, cypress wood, patchouli, musk, leather, amber, tonka bean and vanilla.
The patchouli and vanilla really bring out it's sexy side, as Carlos Santana For Men is incredibly sexy.

What surprised me is how well the fragrances of both the woman and mans scent compliment each other, with each blending together happily.

I give Carlos Santana a 10 out of 10 for his fragrance sensuality!

You can't turn on the TV or read a magazine without seeing Paris Hilton. A day doesn't go by where you are not seeing Paris Hilton in the news.

What you may not know however, is that Paris introduced her own fragrance in 2005.

I wasn't sure what to expect the first time I tested Paris Hilton by Parlux Fragrances.

I had somewhat expected a sweet, little girl, somewhat cloying fragrance but to my surprise Paris Hilton is a crisp, clean, quite complex scent with a mixture of frozen apple, peach nectar, freesia, mimosa, jasmine, sandalwood, ylang ylang & oak moss.

Paris Hilton is perfect for office wear as it will not over power, yet it's quite long lasting and is definitely priced well under what I had expected.

Glow by Jennifer Lopez was my first introduction into celebrity fragrances. Summer was on it's way and I was in the mood for a new perfume.
As I sniffed my way from perfume counter to perfume counter I finally came across and feel in love with Glow.

At the time I didn't realize that this was Jennifer Lopez's fragrance until the woman behind the counter mentioned it. Glow was the lightly sweet fragrance of summer that I was looking for.

Who would have known that this playful scent would carry me deep into the winter months.

Glow by J.Lo is a decidedly feminine scent of sheer florals with bright citrus notes with a background of heady musk, vanilla and jasmine. Not as sweet as it sounds, but has a hint of delicate skin tones. Wonderfully clean and exciting.

Still by Jennifer Lopez is often described as being as refreshing as your first sip of champagne! Luxurious with floral and fruit components blended with the fragrance of soft blossoms with a high note of spice.

So sensual, yet as delicate as a summer bloom.

Live by Jennifer Lopez
Live is a little bit more playful than Glow or Still. Perfect daytime wear, also feels at home with the flicker of candlelight.

Live is infused with a delicate blend of fruity orange, lemon & pineapple with just a hint of peony & violet, add spicy caramel, vanilla, and tonka beans with a splash of sandalwood. Intoxicating.

I'll admit it, I am really not too familiar with Hillary Duff. I did know that she was Lizzie McGuire on TV and in the movies and that she also had several hit singles but I didn't realize how many different types awards she has won since 2000, for both her movie and singing career.

What I did know though is that Hillary had a perfume, Touch With Love by Hillery Duff. Spicy with an Oriental twist infused with exotic fruits, ambers and a rich woodsy background. Romantic, yet playful at the same time.

Her singing career is what most people know her by but Britney also has been in several off-Broadway productions. Britney was also a contestant on Star Search but was knocked out in the second round.

Curious by Britney Spears, stays true her southern roots with use of Louisiana magnolia and just the hint of vanilla-infused musk.

The Louisiana magnolia background makes this perfume a nice light flowery daytime choice. The vanilla musk adds a glimmer of sweetness with spicy undertones. Not quite as sensuous as many of the other celebrity fragrances like those from Jennifer Lopez but I like the change of pace and find it perfect for the office.

is one of my all time favorite fragrances.
It is a gorgeous light perfume, which is never over powering. A complex blend of bergamot, citrus mandarin, rosewood, lavender and apple martini. The heart is flowering orchid, patchouli with the lasting fragrance of cedar and white amber.

BTW, Sarah Jessica Parker will be making a screen version of Sex In The City and will include all her gal pals and a few of her favorite men including Chris Noth as Mr. Big. Should be interesting, so stay tuned to your celebrity magazine or TV show for more information. I can't wait!

Although I am a big fan of Stella McCartney's designs it was my love for her father's music that first attracted me to this fragrance. Some how the McCartney name stuck out and pulled me into the fragrance counter. Stella has a few different fragrances out at the moment however, Stella In Two Peony is my personal favorite. It's often described as a fragrance for a woman in her 20's and 30's but I'm in my 50's and adore it.

is as soulful as Patti herself. This classic scent smolders from within. A very subtle scent that lightly lingers in the room. Truly romantic.
