I'm a fan of Faith Hill, both of her vocal talent and the class she displays. Oh . AND her perfume, "True," which I'm wearing right now. Among Faith's achievements are awards from the Grammys, the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, the American Music Awards and the People's Choice. Her Soul2Soul II Tour 2006 with her singing husband, Tim McGraw, became the highest- grossing country tour of all time. In 2001, she was named one of the "30 Most Powerful Women in America" by Ladies Home Journal, and she was named the #1 Adult Contemporary artist of the decade 2000- 2009 by Billboard Magazine. And she's a really good singer too!

I first saw Sarah Jessica Parker in the movie "Footloose" back in 1984. She also had roles in L.A. Story (1991), Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), Hocus Pocus (1993), Mars Attacks! (1996), The Family Stone (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Smart People (2008), and Did You Hear About the Morgans? (2009). In addition to movie and television roles, Sarah is a well-respected stage actress. But she's best known for her leading role as Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO television series Sex and the City (1998-2004), for which she won four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Emmy Awards. She played the same role in the 2008 feature film based on the show, Sex and the City: The Movie, and its sequel, Sex and the City 2, which opened in May, 2010.

Sarah Jessica Parker released her own perfume called "Lovely" in 2005. In July 2007, following the success of "Lovely," Parker released her second fragrance named "Covet." Then, in 2008, Covet Pure Bloom was released as continuation of the Covet series of Covet. In February, 2009, as part of the "Lovely" collection, Parker launched three new fragrances: "Dawn", "Endless" and "Twilight."

Some celebrities donate profits from the sales of fragrances they put their name on to various charities and causes. Britney Spears is one of those people, who worked with Elizabeth Arden cosmetics, her fragrance manufacturer, to donate $10,000 to a New York middle school music program. In 2008, Spears personally delivered the proceeds from her fragrances to John Philip Sousa Junior High School and the children thanked her by a special performance by the school's band and singers.

Whether or not one likes Christina's music or style, it's hard to deny this girl has pipes. I've enjoyed dancing to her songs in my Jazzercise classes, the energy in her music translating to the energy in the room.

I remember the first time I heard Mariah Carey sing. It was on a morning news show back in the early 90s. "Vision of Love" was the song, featuring that famous high note of hers.

Until I saw the movie, "Salena," I'd never heard of Jennifer Lopez. But I found her likable and very believable in the role. That was more than a decade ago, and now Jennifer's list of credits include not only dancer, actress and singer but also record producer, television personality, fashion designer and television producer. And Jennifer now uses her celebrity status to endorse fashion lines and perfumes. According to Forbes, she is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood.

Considered one of the best actresses of Hollywood's "Golden Age," Elizabeth Taylor -- also known as DAME Elizabeth Taylor or Liz Taylor (and I prefer the latter) -- was placed seventh on the American Film Institute's Female Legends list.

I remember seeing her in the film "Lassie Come Home" and later in "National Velvet," but my favorite of her films that I've seen was "Giant" with Rock Hudson, for which Liz Taylor was nominated for an Academy award. She didn't win that time, but she did win a Best Actress Oscar for her role as Gloria Wandrous in the 1960 film, "Butterfield 8." She won again for her performance as Martha in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

While not all celebrities get involved with the development of the fragrances they put their image and name on, beyond approving the pre-mixed scent presented to their famous noses, Celine Dion got very involved with her signature perfumes. She chose the fragrance "notes" as well as the packaging and marketing for all of her perfumes.
