Why do most of the female Hollywood celebs think smoking is still cool?

Kate Beckinsale...her beauty going up in smoke...HDTV will reveal who smokes.

Hard to believe, after all the education we have about the hazards of smoking, that so many female celebs think cancer and early aging will never happen to them. They need to rethink their careers, under the magnifying glass we call HDTV. Smokers close-ups are going to make them look like used puck bags. That's something to light up about! If celebrities main reason for smoking is to control their weight, they need to step away from the plate, get to the gym, count their calories and put down the diet smokes. Is seems Hollywood is a bunch of weak, self-absorbed, ego maniacal, Neanderthals, that want to take the seemingly easy way, light up. Celebs need to get out of their stone age mindset, so they can realize life and beauty are worth more than a pack of smokes...

Ali Larter, of Heroes fame, is a big time smoker for years...starting to show

Ali is just an example of the young tinsel town actresses that smoke like a chimney. Young celebs beauty is fleeting, without the aid of Joe Camel. It's a shame to see so many young and talented Hollywood celebs blowing their gift of beauty and let's be honest, their beauty is why many are celebrities in the first place...wait until one of the major names gets cancer, then maybe they will open their eyes (if they can see through the smoke).

Yes- smoking kills. Yes, it damages your longs etc. We know. It's not like we think we're immortal. It's simply a preference that requires us not to give a damn. It's disgusting to some, relaxing to others.

We just started watching Hero's and I told my wife she looks and sounds(cigarette voice) like a smoker. Now the guy on House is a classic!!!

I see so many female celebs that I know smoke and advertise fitness and health products. Cindy Crawford smokes, while selling beauty products. Christy Brinkley sells workout equipment while blacking her lungs. Jamie Lee Curtis sells yogurt saying how health it is, while she smokes. Bridget Neilson looks like a dried old prune, chain smoking where ever she goes.

So many celebs endorse products, "so called to make you healthy" while destroying their lungs. Some of them even tell others not to smoke, while behind the sceen they smoke like a chimney.

Some of them do yoga and other forms of exercise while putting carbon monoxide in their lungs.

Hi there kcbuster! I didn't know Kate Bekinsale's a smoker- but she's still hot you know! ( not that smoking does anything for great looks or even supple healthy skin...) Thanks for the great lens.

How could anyone smoke knowing all that we do about the health risks. And honestly, why would anyone want to smoke, it is disgusting!
