History of Celestron

Celeston was initially founded as Valor Electronics by Tom Johnson as a possible aerospace electronics company. In the quest for searching a daily telescope to his two young sons, Valor fabricated his mind to construct a telescope by himself from the beginning and in consequence the name Celestron lived in 1960. Starting with the traditional 6-inch reflector, Celestron progressed considerably to provide Catadioptric telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (Celestron C8 & C5) and later the 11" and 14" telescope models that transpire to set immense popularity among both casual skywatchers and serious astronomers.

Optical tubes of Celestron :

Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain OTAs (Optical Tube Assemblies) are also available separately to be played with in the mount.
