Indeed, these days it's not so much about whether you own a cell phone, but rather what type of phone you have. Then there are the modernists who live and die by the smart phone this is mainly due to the fact that their smartphones basically contain their entire lives. Smartphone users subscribe to a data plan which lets them access and transmit information across the internet at any time. Their smart phones contain way beyond the basic functions of a normal cell phone. They can check e-mail, play games, video chat and much, much more. While the smartphone users have a lot more to gain with the cell phones they are using, they also have much more to lose if they misplace, lose or have their phone stolen.

Some people will criticize smart phone users for taking such a big risk and accusing them of paying more attention to their smartphone lives than the actual world around them. May be there was a similar criticism when the population largely made the switch from wired phones to wireless phones. People argued that by becoming more connected by their new phones they ironically were becoming less connected to the people around them. There was also a widespread concern over cell phone radiation that has now simmered down, but still remains on many people's minds. The main point is that cell phones, like any other technology, will continue to advance and make people's lives better, but also inherently they will also signify some sort of loss on our part. The best thing to do is to cut our losses and focus on improvement and benefits which they can bring. Cell phones for the most part have benefited our society, and we can control our own use of how little or how much each one of use decide to use our cell phones or smart phones just the same as we did with computers and internet access after all these devices have also been accused of taking over our lives.
