LG Dare!
A worthy iPhone Competitor?
While most of the hype has been about the Apple 3G iPhone , LG has been making waves of its own in the marketplace. It is not entirely fair to compare the two devices, since the Apple 3G iPhone has essentially become a computer platform. Nevertheless, the LG Dare includes quite a few features that have enticed a number of consumers. First off, the LG Dare packs a 3.2 megapixel camera with face recognition technology. Not bad for a phone! In addition, it also has an excellent touch screen user interface that is pleasantly responsive. Finally, it offers a ton of multimedia features, with key essentials including a 3.5 headset jack and an expandable microSD slot. HTML browsing on the device is no laughing matter either. While the LG Dare doesn't offer the type of uber application flexibility of the Apple 3G iPhone , LG has certainly created a winner by delivering on the functionality it advertises for the device. And unlike the Apple 3G iPhone , the battery lasts longer than a few hours. So if you are a Verizon subscriber and thinking of making the switch to the Apple 3G iPhone , do yourself a favor and check out the LG Dare. You just might be pleasantly surprised.Source:

My thoughts on the 3G iPhone
Tomorrow is the big day for the Apple 3G iPhone launch. Already people are waiting in lines to finally get their hands on the most coveted gadgetry since... the release of the previous generation iPhone. Well, the reviews are starting to enter the blogosphere and it seems the consensus on the Apple 3G iPhone is decidedly mixed. Without a doubt, the device is an improvement, by virtue of its 3G and GPS capabilities. Nonetheless, a few of the initial complaints are as follows: No bluetooth stereo, can't record video, no voice dialing, and no memory card slot.Anyhow, I would encourage you to check out the reviews yourself. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have an Apple 3G iPhone . Unfortunately, I use T-Mobile and I don't even have 3G.
Samsung Instinct
A Worthy iPhone Competitor
I was checking out the Samsung Instinct and reading the reviews, and I have to admit that I am somewhat impressed by this device. While it certainly is not an iPhone, Samsung can be proud of it's accomplishment. It rates favorable in most categories, except web surfing. Personally this automatically rules out the Samsung Instinct for me, but otherwise this is a decent gadget, with a pretty good price to boot. Check it out! New YouTube vids
