- I remember when we got our first company cellphones at work. All the sudden, every client could reach me any time. Dozens of interruptions a day, it impeded my ability to get things done. I hated cell phones because of that. Sometimes I still do.

- I didn't get my first cell phone until I started college in 2001. I really didn't need or so much want one before then. Now that I've gotten used to using one, though, I don't really miss those pre-cellular days much. The convenience and almost limitless usefulness of cell phones (especially smartphones) have introduced so much more to offer than traditional landlines could ever do. Of course, with every new technology, there are ways to properly use and ways to misuse and even abuse cell phones. I've always tried to be considerate of others so I don't even use audible ringtones. I always have my phone on vibrate and when I go into a movie, on the job, or other places where there's no (good) reason to use your phone, I put it on silent. I recently saw a phone which can automatically switch modes (e.g. go from ringtone to vibrate or silent) based on the time of day or the phone's current location. So with that phone I could configure it to automatically go silent when I enter the local movie theater or my workplace, and from 10pm-8am for undisturbed sleep. Cool huh?

- I think cell phones are a great invention as long as people remember when to turn them off.

- Hiya, saw your post in the forums so I thought I'd stop by. :)
I actually used to be kind of anti-cell phone (I'm an introvert... we don't wanna be bugged, lol), but I got an iphone for Christmas and it's made me a bit of a convert. Though I used it to listen to music and take notes and pictures more than making calls, heh.
Nice lens, and keep 'em coming!
