Cellulite Diet - Healthy foods to make your skin healthy

This article is a guide on what foods and drinks you should avoid and eat more of if you want to have healthy skin and reduce the amount of cellulite in your body.

Cellulite Diet Tips

Before and After DietingCellulite is a problem that many women have to deal with, but it is very hard to get rid of. Below are a list of cellulite diet tips, based on the findings of various health experts and my own personal experience.
-----------------
Things to avoid:

Simple Carbohydrates - Simple carbohydrates (also known as refined carbohydrates) are found in foods such as bread, white flour, and rice. When consumed, they quickly increase blood sugar levels, which causes more fat to be stored in the body. You should substitute these carbs with whole grains such as wholemeal bread and brown rice. You can also get healthy carbs from raw fruit and veggies.

Saturated Fats - Eating a lot of fat will make your body fatter. This is simple. Avoid red meat, full cream dairy products, and other foods high in fat. Go for white meat such a chicken instead, as try low-fat dairy products. Go for lean protein foods that can build muscle and burn more calories than saturated fats.

Alcohol - Drinking alcohol can increase fat levels in your bloodstream and make your circulation sluggish. It can also lead to the formation of free radicals within your body, causing damage to otherwise healthy skin cells. Be moderate in your alcohol intake.

High amounts of Salt - Eating too much salty food will cause your body to attempt to dilute it by storing extra water within body tissue. This causes more fluid retention and increases cellulite.

Sugary foods - Too much sweet and sugary food will cause your blood sugar level to go up, as well as fat storage in your body. Collagen and elastin in your body tissue will be damaged, making your skin less healthy.

Caffeinated drinks - Too much caffeine is not good. Avoid coffee and other high caffeine drinks.

Things you should eat/drink:

Water - help cleanse your body by drinking about 2 liters of water every day. Flush out those toxins!

Decaffeinated drinks - When you want something other than water, try herbals teas and decaf coffee. Pure fruit juice is a good alternative to sugary artificially sweetened soft drinks.

Fresh fruit and vegetables - Each a lot of fresh fruit and veggies every day. It is a good source of natural sugar, chlorophyll, lecithin, and vitamins. Suggestions include: tomatoes, red pepper, carrots, blueberries, papaya, oranges, and wheatgrass.

Collagen/Ellastin rich foods - Find it in skimmed milk, egg, and poultry meats.

Foods that reduce fluid retention - Having too much fluid retention can cause the formation of more cellulite in your body. Get rid of extra fluids by eating foods such as parsley, dandelion leaves, and celery. Also eat potassium-rich things such as prunes, bananas, apricots, pinapple, and beans.

Antioxidants - Antioxidants help your lymphatic system flush toxins out of your body. Foods that are high in antioxidants include: kiwifruit, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and citrus fruits (lemon, oranges, etc).

Fatty acids - This helps repair damaged connective tissue in your body. It can be found in food such as olive oil, canola oil, walnuts, almonds, and salmon.

Iodine - Also good for de-toxing your body. Try pears, kelp, and nori (dried seaweed).

Low-fat meat - Eat meats like chicken instead of high fat meats like beef.

Other tips

Remember - Dieting alone may not solve your cellulite problem! Also be sure to try things such as exercises, massages, and medication. You should also try to find the best anti cellulite cream that matches your body. There are many different brands, so experiment and find what methods fit your unique situation.
