I'll try to post this little alleviate the initial shock, which is certainly present when it appears this very common and very unpleasant infection.
Cellulitis infection knows no gender or age, it affects all age groups, from the youngest to the oldest people. It is not difficult to recognize if you know which are the main symptoms and even they can be divided into local and systemic. Local reflect the only place affected by cellulitis infection while they are systematically symptoms that can affect any part of the human organism. The most common symptoms are:
1) inflammation and redness of the affected areas of infection,
2) sensitivity and pain to touch the skin affected by cellulitis infection,
3) heat of the infected skin to the touch and of course
4) the usual swelling of the skin.
Causes of cellulitis may generally been caused by normal skin flora or by exogenous bacteria, most cases occurred in the area where he was previously broken skin (cuts, blisters, burns, cracks in the skin, surgical wounds, sites of intravenous catheter insertion or other cellulitis causes this type).
The diagnosis of cellulitis infection usually consists of three important steps. The first doctor examines a patient's medical record and medical history, the second step is performed a physical examination of the patient which is the most important step in the diagnosis of cellulitis infection and final step includes blood tests to confirm the diagnosis of cellulitis.
If the diagnosis is confirmed, followed by treatment of cellulitis infection that is usually carried out with antibiotics, and depending on the intensity of infection of antibiotics can be taken orally or IV. In the case of repeated antibiotic treatment for cellulitis infection can last for several months.
