My Love of All Things Celtic!
Magical stories abound, from tales of the "Land of Youth", called Tir na nog, the home of Danu and the other Irish deities known as the Tuatha De Danann, to Tech Duinn the home of Donn, Irish god of the dead. They are endlessly enchanting.
The History of the Celtic Knot
Not much is known about the use of Celtic Knots before the coming of Christianity around 450 AD, although geometric patterns were used extensively for jewelry before that time. Celtic knots are complete loops with no end or beginning. As the celts only transmitted their culture orally most of our knowledge of the knots comes from their use in early Christian monuments. There is no evidence that the different knots had any specific symbolic meanings as is often assigned to them today.Find out more by visiting the links below!
