If you haven't heard of this group of women before, you are missing out.

Celtic Woman is actually a group of several women who sing and play musical instruments and that have a most incredible sound. There are several videos down below, so you can hear some of their performances.

I've been collecting the CDs as they come out - I find them to be very relaxing and wonderful to listen to. I would recommend them to anyone would likes emotionally charged music.

They currently have 3 albums out: Celtic Woman (2005), Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (2006) and Celtic Woman: A New Journey (2007).

Over the past few years there have been people added to the group, and who have left the group during a pregnancy or to work on solo projects. The original women who started Celtic Woman are: Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Máiréad Nesbitt, and Lisa Kelly.

Here is more about the history of Celtic Woman

Celtic Woman is a musical ensemble comprising six Irish female artists: vocalists Chloë Agnew, Órla Fallon, Lynn Hilary, Lisa Kelly, Alex Sharpe and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt. The group's repertoire ranges from traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs. To date, the group has released three albums, Celtic Woman, Category: Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration - and Category: Celtic Woman: A New Journey - , and have undertaken a number of world tours.

The foundation for Celtic music's popularity outside of Ireland and Europe was previously set by artists Enya and Clannad, along with stage shows Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. To this end, Celtic Woman has been referred to as "Riverdance for the voice."

This is one of my favorites of the Instrumental Pieces

It is a song that was featured on "The Civil War" by Ken Burns, so its a song I've hear numerous times before as I've watched that documentary more times than I can remember.
