How to Make Lighted Centerpieces
Very simple - battery led lights. Yes, there is such a thing and they are very easy to use. With DIY centerpieces you have a lot of choices in color as well as a few different styles. A few years ago, you had to be an industry professional to get your hands on these and they were expensive. Today, anyone can find and use them. Take a look at your centerpiece choice. Could it use some lights for effect?

The FloraLytes can also be used for practically any design element including costumes, masks, place settings, art lighting, interior design and accent lighting to name a few. Floralyte II is now available with an on/off pull tab.
The FloraLyte is activated by pulling the white tab down and de-activated by pushing the pull tab up
Battery life of the lighting unit is 48+ hours.
Floralytes are about 1.5" long x 0.75" wide x 0.25" thick.
Each FloraLyte comes with loop for fastening and a black elastic string.
Floralyte II are not designed to be used in water.
Tips for Using Floralytes
1.FloraLytes I have a small hole at the bottom of the light that allows you to poke in a wire. Then add it to your arrangement wherever you want light.
2. FloraLytes II have a pull tab with a hole on the end. You can create a small pick here and then push the pick into the middle of a flower blossom to illuminating the entire flower.
3. Use in Paper lanterns to create a wonderful glow. You probably need about 3 per 12" diameter paper lantern to get the right effect. 4. Use a tall vase and find a lamp shade that fits nicely. Add three floralytes inside the lampshade and place the centerpiece on a l.e.d. lighted based. The floralytes will produce light at the top and the bases will shoot light up through the column of the vase. Fill the vase with colored water, florals, gems, marbles, iridescent shred or anything else you want!

More Options for Centerpieces with Lights
Glow sticks, bracelets and necklaces are an economical choice for lighting centerpieces. They glow lasts 8 to 12 hours. Just bend them to break the inner tube and activate the lights right before your event starts and they should last the whole evening.
