Comprehensive Resource for Natural-Minded Parents in Orlando

The founder of the Central Florida Green Guide envisioned a comprehensive website for holistic-minded, eco-conscious families who are interested in natural living.  The goal was to create a page of reviews written by local parents-not just links-that would help those who are trying to find alternative care practitioners, natural childbirth information, nontoxic pest control, natural housekeeping services, organic foods, and more. Visitors to our site are encouraged to share their comments as well, resulting in a valuable resource for our local "green" community (specifically families with children). If you are interested in becoming a writer for this site, please see the writer's guidelines and contact Jan Zeiger for more information.  Regular writers are be rewarded for their efforts with links to their businesses in the blogroll.

Breasts--A Book for Children

Award-Winning Book from Kane Miller

"With this relaxed, humorous approach it would appeal to parents who want to introduce their children to normal human anatomy and physiology. It is brief, funny, warm, and loving." - Journal of Human Lactation

"I was pleasantly surprised when I read the text...discusses the benefits of breast milk and the experience of breast feeding through the eyes of both mother and baby...a wonderful tool for moms and dads to use to explain the process and the experience of breast feeding to baby's siblings. I wish I had it when I was nursing my youngest child. It was difficult for me to find words that my children could understand when discussing it. This author has managed to give moms and dads the simple explanation they need." - Kaboose
