Central Oregon is made up of several unique areas, giving you a lot of great choices in where you live.
La Pine - is located 30 miles south of Bend, La Pine is one of Oregon's newest cities. The city motto of La Pine is "The Outdoors at your Front Door." This is not only a motto but the truth of Central Oregon. La Pine is nestled between the Cascade Mountains and Newberry National Monument. There are several lakes just a short drive from any location in La Pine. Both the Big Deschutes River and Little Deschutes River flow through La Pine.
Three Rivers South is the area from La Pine State Rec road to Sunriver (about 12 miles south of Bend). This area is often called Sunriver or South Bend the easiest way to decipher if you are looking at a Three Rivers South property versus a Bend property is the zip code. If a property has a Bend address but the 97707 zip code it is in Three Rivers South.
Bend Oregon is the largest city east of the Cascades. Bend has grown very quickly over the last 20 years as with all of Central Oregon but it is most evident in Bend. Bend is more city life than most of Central Oregon. All of our major shopping is in Bend. Bend features many of the big box stores you are accustom to seeing in a city.
Of course even our small towns have grocery stores, and small retail businesses. Life in Central Oregon is much more relaxed than what most are used to. Because of the lifestyle in Central Oregon we see a lot of great people like you relocating to Central Oregon.
Sunriver is a great resort area 15 miles south of Bend. The Sunriver area consists of Sunriver Resort, Caldera Springs and Crosswater. *technically Caldera Springs and Crosswater are in Three Rivers but they are both resort style living* Sunriver features both full time residential property and vacation homes, condos and single family. Sunriver is bordered on the North by Deschutes National Forest and on the west side by The Big Deschutes River.

Crane Prairie - a Great Place To Fish
Life on the Edge
Crane Prairie is one of my favorite places in Central Oregon. To me it is one of those places that has something for everyone. If you like to fish - this lake is full of Bass. Kayaking is great with a lot of hidden coves that will make you feel like you have stepped back to an era before the area was settled.
