Century BoB Body Opponent Bag Is It Any Good?
Century Bob Body Opponent Bag the one piece of martial arts equipment that every serious martial artist should have. Bob Body Opponent allows the martial artist to train techniques that you just can't pull off with other traditional heavy bags.
If you are just looking for a practice punching bag, then any of the freestanding Wavemaster punching bags will do, or a good quality heavy bag. The Century Bob Body Opponent Bag comes in two sizes..the ones shown here is what I like to call the "standard bob" and then there is the "xl bob"featured below.This standard version of bob the punching bag is made of high-strength plastisol and yet still remains soft and punchable. The Inner cavity is filled with durable urethane foam making it very durable and will withstand alot of abuse and just like the battery bunny keep on ticking. I do recommend that you use gloves or hand wraps while working out on on the Century Bob Punching Bag, but even still this is a great piece of martial arts equipment.
The Bob Punching bag is portable and sets up in any house or apartment as it comes with a wavemaster stand base that you simply fill with water or sand. If you decide to keep it outdoors you can..all you have to do is remove "BoB" from its base and bring him indoors and leave the base as it is quite durable.

Century BoB Body Opponent Bag - XL Version
The XL version of the Century Bob Opponent Body Bag is made of the exact same quality materials in the regular size "Bob" except that this one includes more Torso.Featuring a full waist and groin area this version of Bob the punching bag lets you work on additional techniques that you otherwise couldn't on the regular "Bob". It is however more expensive. The other draw back on both "bob's" that i should mention is that they are not designed to be punching and kicking from behind. The attach to the stand from behind and the bolts for the stand are close to the surface so any of the Century Bob Opponent bags are really meant to be punched and kicked from the front.
The XL full sized Bob is great for those looking to really be able to workout a full range of techniques it is a little heavies then the regular Bob and if you plan on filling it up with water will tend to stay in place a little better. But all the freestanding punching bags do move around a little.

- Poor Bob. He's got no arms or legs to defend himself and yet people are constantly punching the bejesus out of him and choking him out. No wonder he looks angry, lol!
Seriously, these things are great! I practiced at a martial arts school that had one and found it to be a very useful training partner. :)

- I have a BoB XL, filled with water. It's an awesome bit of kit but it really moves around alot. It's on carpet so doesn't slide - more so lifts and shifts with my punches. If anyone has any ideas on keeping them still feel free to add them to the comments :) - Apart from that, excellent kit

- Hey mate,
I read somewhere in a review that a guy filled the bottom with little stones, like pebbles you would put in a garden and also put a rubber bathtub mat under the stand. He seemed happy with this set up and I will try that once my Bob arrives myself.
I recently retired from fighting in competitions after 8 years and am looking forward to just working out with this. There is no gym where I study now and I miss banging something around. However this most def will not replace a heavy bag.. It is not meant for all out power punches and kicks, but to work accurate and fast paced combo's at 70-80% I think this is perfect.

- I have mine filled with water as well but I've added very strong tape on the bottom, try it. It will most certainly stop moving.
