The Truth about Vacation Certificates

Free Vacation Certificates Defined
Free does not mean it's actually really free when it comes to vacation certificates. For instance, the Get Away to Paradise certificate here claims that you will receive a Free Hotel Room On Your Next Vacation. What is not that noticeable is the smaller print in between that reads: redeem this certificate to receive. That is where they get you. You have to redeem the certificate first in order to receive what they promise. And what do they mean by redeem? They mean money. You pay to find out how to receive what they consider a free hotel room to be. That is that room taxes and a refundable deposit must be paid to stay at the hotel/resort room for "free".
If you have to pay for any fees it's obviously not free, but what I found out is that after reading all of the fine print and adding up all of the "free" fees it's not such a bad deal. You just have to work a little harder and do a little research to get to the bottom of it all.

The Facts and Real Numbers after all the Fees
How does a 3day-2night Getaway for $74 sound?
It was a super great deal for me. Here are the restrictions and of course the limitations that are not all mentioned on the certificate.
-Like I said it's only for people over 21 (there are other options for added fees)
-Available dates are during the week like Mondays and Tuesdays
-There is a $29 redemption fee that must be paid up front
-There are room taxes that are $9-$15 per night that also must be paid up front
-A $50 refundable deposit is required (this is returned to you)
-In order to reserve a room you must book at least 30 days in advance
-And there are no available rooms 1 week before or after holidays.
Basically, this offer is only available when hotels have no business and are trying to fill rooms. This type of vacation is not for everybody. It's for people like me. Someone who has time on his or her hands and wants to travel for the least amount of money possible or is on a very tight budget. There is other options available, but make sure that you do your homework.
Below is where you will find the certificate that worked for me. But, if you have another certificate that you have won, or that was given to you, by all means check it out. Please, make sure that in order to take advantage and pay for the very least, you read all of the fine print. I will continuously repeat this to you. How these certificates work can be a bit tricky so read, read, read.
The Steps:
Getting your Vacation Certificate to work for you.
-Print a Copy of the Vacation Certificate-Then visit the website noted on the bottom of the certificate to redeem it: www.CandBcerts.com. This is where you pay the $29 redemption fee in order to receive your activation form (the DID# from the bottom of the certificate is needed to complete the transaction). They guarantee that you will receive your activation form within 10 days after paying.
-Once you receive your activation form, there will be different plans for you to choose from (plan A is what worked for me and was the one that I researched).
-Then send in your room taxes and deposit. Make sure to follow all of the directions. Remember the taxes vary from $9-$15 per night.
This certificate has 4 bonus gifts that you can also use. I have not had the change to check these out but I would definitely read the fine print and add up all of the costs before going for them. Also, try to compare the prices with Orbitz, Expedia or other online travel websites to see if in fact you are going to get a deal. This is what I did before booking my vacation.
Again, even with all of the fees, I definitely recommend this certificate especially for students, teachers, small groups, and just about anyone wanting to save money. I will be redeeming another certificate pretty soon. Where else can you pay only $15 per night in room taxes plus a $29 redemptions fee where 2 people can stay at a 4 star resort?
Oh, and by the way, after using this certificate, you receive 5 more in the mail so you can use them again. Or, you can pass them on to family and friends. Anyway, I hope you take advantage of this information and enjoy a great inexpensive vacation!!
