Chain Maille Jewelry
Welcome to Chaine Maille Jewelry!
Chain Maille or Maile as it was known in the old days, has been around for years. Maille dates back into the 500 BC era. Chain Maille is most notably known to come from Europe and Japan. Most of the weaves and patterns come from these areas and time, while a few hybrid weaves have come about lately.
While chaine maille was used for protection against sword swinging enemies in the medieval times, today it is used for reenactments by groups such as the SCA or is used to make jewelry.
The last use of chain maille, jewelry making, is the one that we will primarily be attending to here. My favorite site for learning new weaves and for finding any answer you may need about chain maille is M.A.I.L. where membership is free and it is a fun group to be around.
Once you learn about how chain maille is made and how to do it, you will need a place to get your supplies. The Ring Lord is "the" place to get all of your supplies. You may be able to get a few things cheaper somewhere else, you cannot match the quality or the customer service that they offer anywhere else.
I hope I have helped you a little in your quest to learn more about chain maille and chaine maille jewelry, if not shoot me a question you may have and I will get the answer for you. Off to make more chaine maille jewelry!
