Debra's (dc64) Life as a Foster Child Lens is an absolutely wonderful lens that all good (current & future) foster parents should read! Some of Champ House's residents are those who were in the govt's foster care system and turned 18 and suddenly had no where to go or live.

Thank you for highlighting such a place of hope as Champ House. Places like these are needed, because there are a lot of people who just don't know how to get out of the situation they are in. It's even sadder for those who are in these hopeless situations through no fault of their own. I'm lensrolling this to my foster child lens, because they are definitely related.

Over 1000 individual lives have been transformed by Champ House. But every one of those lives touches hundreds of other lives - in the community, in the market place, in the education system, and in the government. So, how many lives has Champ House touched?

Kudos to you for sharing the message that we can all give in different ways to help others. Champ House appears to be filling a tremendous need. Please consider submitting this lens to the All About Volunteering Group. Keep up the good work.

Why do I donate to Champ House? Because they do what I can't do - feed, shelter, heal and inspire the homeless. By giving to them, I am indirectly bring good to the world in a way that I, personally, and not uniquely suited for.
