Champions of Kamigawa, an expansion set for Wizards of the Coast's collectible trading card game, Magic: the Gathering, was officially released on October 1 2006. In addition to many new, never before released mechanics this set is most known for having more Legends than any other set ever, including the first Legendary Enchantments.

The Story - The Champions of Kamagawa
Kamigawa is like no other plane ever before in the Magic: the Gathering Multiverse. It takes place on a world similar to the far easterners of Japan. The entire Kamigawa block is based on traditional Japanese culture, specifically on the Shinto philosophy, which suggests that every object in our world contains a spirit inside. In a world filled with Samurai, Orachi (snake people), Akki (similar to goblins), Ogres, Demons, Dragons, and of course spirits, the daughter of the warlord must work side-by-side with a thief to stop the war that is about to sweep the land.
