Chantal began her lab research at the age of 16 as a student at UCLA studying biology and chemistry. After receiving her degree, her father convinced her to study law, but even as a law student she couldn't deny her passion for research. After receiving her law degree, she promptly returned to her research, and soon discovered Ethocyn, a substitute for the natural elastin content in skin.

Burnison used the substance to create Ethocyn Essence Serum, a concentrated solution used to counteract and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Chantal Burnison quickly became a name to know in cosmetics, as both scientists and cosmetologists voiced the opinion that this line of Ethocyn products was one of the most revolutionary breakthroughs in anti-aging skin care products.
