The job opportunities list below are updated daily, and there are many more openings in each state than the ones visible on this site. Just click on "see more results" for the particular state you are interested in viewing.

I am currently a United Methodist pastor completing my 31st year in the pastorate and am interested in chaplaincy ministry in Ohio or Kentucky. I have a M.Div. degree with 1 basic unit of C.P.E. completed in 1977. I would appreciate learning of any job openings in this area.

I truly enjoyed my CPE residency. I acquired 5 units. The hospital was amazing and the training was invaluable. My only constructive critique of my supervisor and ACPE is that we as residents were never told that there is a strong possibility that we will not find work for a long time. I truly thought that I would be hired immediately. I have been aggressively looking for a hospital chaplaincy position for eight months and I have had two interviews thus far. I now have to expand my professional umbrella to include corrections prison chaplaincy even though I know that deep down, my calling is to hospital institutional ministry. I know I am not alone. The competition is so great and there are so many more available chaplains than there are jobs. I have an interview for a state prison chaplaincy this Tuesday and I am pleased about it, but definitely have mixed reservations about it. I know that offenders need good Chaplains just as much if not more than patients do. Peace!
