What Are the Advantages of Charging Stations?
They allow you to charge devices like digital cameras, MP3 players, cell phones, and similar items in a single location, and all at the same time.
They can keep you from misplacing devices by giving you a consist location for placing them, even if you live in a house with multiple devices.
Many of them also allow you to protect you devices from power surges.
Because they are available in a number of designs and finishes, you can also find one that will complement your decor.
Charging Station Features
Some can charge only a single device but most can handle 2, 3 or even up to 6 devices at a time.
Most of these charging stations come with the power strip included but some require you to provide your own. Even if it doesn't come with one however, you need to know how large of a power strip it can accommodate. In addition, a power strip that offers surge protection is preferred and certainly the cord length provided will determine where you can locate the station. Some of these devices keep the area where the cord is stored covered so that it doesn't need to be placed near a wall to be concealed, others leave the area open. Of course, having easy access to the cords can be important too, so a flip up door can be handy.
Some charging stations have universal connectors and additional connectors that come included. These allow you to connect a wider variety of gadgets. Some also include international AC adapters that allow it to function domestically and internationally.
If you would like the station to provide additional storage for small items like keys, coins, jewelry, and so forth, you want to find one with a drawer or tray to do this.
You'll want to know the dimensions of the charging station to know how much desk or table space it will require. Some are made of light weight materials, such as bamboo and others are heavier and made of real wood or metals. Lightweight can be handy but if you have a large power cord and several devices it might tend to tip. The finish and over all design of these devices varies from sleek and modern to more traditional and elegant. You can choose the one that matches the decor of your room.
