- You mentioned about how some organizations pay their execs hundreds of thousands of dollars, I think this is definitely something to watch for; The Christian Children's Fund of Canada (http://www.ccfcanada.ca) reaches out around the world to children in need, families and communities of all faiths to demonstrate Christ's love. This Canadian charity posts their financial statements on line so people can see exactly how their money is spent and how much goes to salaries and administration.

- You should add CureSearch to your list of charities as well. They donate 90% of every dollar towards childhood cancer research. One day my organization, Kids Over Kancer, will be on this list of phenomenal charities!

- What a really beautiful lens. It's so sad how many charities out there are not using their funds to really help the cause they claim to. Thanks for sharing these great charities! I'd like to link to this on my lens.

- John's Hopkins Children's Center is one of my personal favorites because the youngest of my twin daughters was treated there as an infant. They were amazing in their treatment of her and me,

- Oh my gosh, Linda! I did not know that African Angel and my lens were featured at the top of such a list on Squidoo! How sweet of you, thank you very very much! :) Things in Accra (this is where the children's home of African Angel is located) are running quite ok, as far as I can see. Another house is currently under construction, that will ultimately accommodate more children. It is being built at a pace of about one floor per year, and only when Harriet is present. Right now they're working on floor #3. But the ground floor is already in use! The children are doing there homework there, and it is used for different kinds of group meetings.
Once again, big thanks for your support, Linda!
PS: The English language web pages of African Angel are currently being brushed up. We are not quite finished yet, but there is a lot of new stuff to read already! :)

- My favorite charity is Friends of the Park. We are trying to make sure our Veterans Park is a safe, great place for the area children from Pendleton SC to play. We are a rural community and money is tight so we have certainly enjoyed and appreciate being a Squidoo Supported Charity.
