Squidoo Charity Choices

Several months ago, my good friend, and lensmaster Ruthi talked about donating 10% of all her lens earnings to charity. She was starting then to go through her lenses and choose a charity for each lens.

I've always tithed 10% of my squidoo payment to my own church, but loved the idea of being able to help out many charities at once though my lenses.

The biggest problem I had is that there are so many charities to choose from!! I was on the look out through the list to try to find a charity that would match up with the subject of each lens. I found that it was very time consuming to look through them.

I am building this lens to list all current charity options. Putting them in this way, tells what each charity is all about. I hope you will be able to use it like I will to find just the right charity for each of your lenses. (If you so choose to donate)

If you are not a member of squidoo, but would like to donate, you just have to click the donate button to donate to the charity or charities of your choice.

This lens donates to the Squidoo Charity Fund. This charity fund gives to a variety of the different charities. The current charity changes on a regular basis. This is for those lensmasters who want to donate but just can't choose which charities to give to.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue (of Northern California) - Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue of Northern California (RRRNC) was formed in 1990 by Ms. Elizabeth Akers. RRRNC still follows the original mission of Ms. Akers to re-home Rhodesian Ridgebacks in need. We pursue any avenue available to educate people about the breed, and perhaps prevent the need of our services.     I, too, have my lenses set to donate 10%. I've chosen the Acumen Fund to donate to. This is a terrific lens. I hope that it encourages more lensmasters to donate a part of their earnings to charities.

    This is such a need! I'm really glad you're doing this! Hope the problems you've had with the charity module get fixed. You might try breaking it up into several lenses (Like Charities A-C, D-F, etc.) and see if that helps.

    Great way to showcase many of the Squidoo Charities, Marsha. I love being able to give immediately from my lens earnings. This way I am sure to tithe, not spend it on other things. I just can't wait until I'm earning more so I can donate more.

    There are so many charities, it is difficult to make a choice. I have my own charities to which I donate regularly here in my town and also some in Haiti.
