More than a Conservative Pundit - Charles Krauthammer
Born March 13, 1950, Charles Krauthammer is more than just an American pundit. He was raised in Montreal, Canada where he attended High School and McGill University obtaining a degree in political science and economics in 1970.
Through my research, I found out that Charles attended Harvard Medical School in 1975. After earning a his M.D., he began working as a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital Suffering a paralyzing diving accident in his first year of medical school, he was hospitalized for a year, during which time he continued his medical studies
From 1975-1978, Krauthammer was a Resident and then a Chief Resident in Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. 1984, he became board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
A Fox News contributor, Pulizer-Prize winning syndicated columnist, and Washington Post contributor, Charles is a contributing editor to the Weekly Standard and The New Republic. He also is a weekly panelist on Inside Washington.
I really like Charles. I feel he speaks his mind. He is very clear and easy to understand. It is refreshing to have such a commentator on the evening news. I don't always agree with his personal views but I appreciate his upfront, honest and fair evaluation of the news. I hope you will give Charles a try.
Secondary Mania
From 1975-1978, Krauthammer was a Resident and then a Chief Resident in Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. During this time he and a colleague identified a form of mania resulting from a concomitant medical illness, rather than a primary inherent disorder, which they named "secondary mania".

Charles Speaking on the Mystery of the Zygote.
That's the mystery that deserves respect. Whether the mysterious transition happens at the very beginning with the zygote or whether it happens more gradually, we know that it ends up with a baby in the end, which in itself is a wonder. So I respect that mystery, and I have less respect for those who think that this is all easily explained by material means. I'm not implying something transcendental, but there's something that we don't understand about how you can transition from the inanimate to the animate, and we see it happen before our eyes. So I think that you need an elementary respect for that. Whether it's religious or secular, I don't really care.

- Charles Krauthammer - we *do* have a healthcare reform plan (you just don't like it)
- To me the healthcare reform debate is not just or even primarily about healthcare reform. It is about logic and rhetoric - about how people think and speak. I might completely disagree with your views on healthcare reform. But can you defend those views honestly? logically? I can respect that.
There are least two mantras one hears from the Obama Administration concerning opposition to his reform proposals. read on - Frontline - Interview with Krauthammer (excellent)
- In this interview, Charles speaks out on something very close to him, embryonic stem cell research.
****************************
Going back to August 2001, tell me, what was your assessment of [President Bush's] speech [about limiting embryonic stem cell research].
It was one of the most fair-minded presidential addresses I think one has ever heard. The reason is, generally a president will build up his case by subtly or unsubtly denigrating the other side as he builds it. And here the president presented the two sides of the argument about stem cells in a very even-handed, very respectful way to what turned out to be the opposition, so much so that by three-quarters of the way into the speech, I'm watching, and I honestly did not know which way he would come out. continue interview - mitchellbard.com

Krauthammer on Obama - A Very Interesting Insight.
Dr. Charles Krauthammer
Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News . He is an M.D. and a lawyer and is paralyzed from the neck down. A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. The ramifications are staggering for us, our children and their children.
Last Monday was a profound evening, Dr. Charles Krauthammer spoke to the Center for the American Experiment. He is a brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful
in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views . He is a fiscal conservative, and has received a Pulitzer Prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post. Krauthammer on Obama

- Thanks for the lens on this man... I'll be honest though. I don't watch television - haven't in years - and never heard of him before. Now if someone mentions him I'll know who they're talking about. Thanks very much for the introduction!
