Widor Organ Symphonies 5, 6, 7 and 8

Opus No 42 (1879 - 1887)

The second group of Widor's organ symphonies include the best known - Symphony No 5 and Symphony No 6. The four symphonies together make up Opus No 42 and took nearly eight years to complete. Organ Symphony No 5 was first performed in 1879 but Symphony No 9 didn't have it's premiere until 1887.
