- What a sad and endearing story...I'm so sorry for your loss of Barkley, especially the fact encountering a mountain lion. Your story is so well written...a very nicely done lens.

- So sorry to read about your beloved pet. :( We have bobcats and coyotes here so we're careful about letting our two dogs out at night. They think they're tough, but they are really just couch dogs.

- Oh god. Now I'm crying! I really cannot take anything to do with dogs like this, I've such a soft spot for them. I can watch a movie and the entire human race could die but one dog dies and I'll be crying haha.
So sorry for your loss, having felt that loss myself - I cannot express how sorry.
BIG HUGS for you and your dogs.

- Oh, wow, that mountain lion story really got me. I can't imagine... We have them around here in Flagstaff, but I've never heard of an attack, either on humans or domestic animals. Well, other than the sad part (which is well done), this is a great lens. I really enjoyed it.

- Thanks for submitting this to the Carnival of Squid. Might not have seen it otherwise. We lost one of our dogs this year and your story just sent me into tears. It's so hard to lose them. I wish I had thought to do the mold of his foot. Such a lovely way to remember them. (Need to find more tissues now.)

- Absolutely lovely lens. A love story! I had a Jack Russel once. Never ever will I forget her. Size like a cat but had to be treated like a Rotweiler =)
