Rhonda, Love the House! But Can We WALK to STARBUCKS?

Once in a while you just stumble on something so cool -- or as Seth Godin would say a purple cow!

Walk Score is that kind of website -- simply put in your home address HERE or the address of your prospective new home and find the closest; drugstores, schools, restaurants & yes the Starbuck(s)! How cool is that!

My score 17/100!!...guess I better get some comfortable shoes!

Charlotte & Union County Real Estate Areas

Start here before the Charlotte Real Estate Listings

The New Homes Journal does a really nice job of highlighting the many delightful areas in the Charlotte & fast growing Union County areas. And with two beautiful lakes; Lake Wylie and Lake Norman, lake living is as much a part of Charlotte as are our famous trees!

Whether you are looking for a swanky condo in uptown Charlotte, a traditional southern charmer in Myers Park, a home with elbow room in Ballantyne or a cool Lake Norman or Lake Wylie retreat -- we'd better get busy because there's a lot to see!
Uptown Urban | Myers Park Lifestyle (swanky)
With the large number of uptown apartment conversions to condos, single family homes, and high rise construction, this area has and will experience phenomenal growth. Noteworthy: Mint Museum of Craft + Design, Levine Museum of the New South...
South Charlotte | Ballantyne
The south and southeast portions of Charlotte are known for rapid growth, wealth of shopping opportunities and abundant area amenities. Historic towns of Matthews and Mint Hill offer residents the true small town charm with all the conveniences of a city nearby. The relatively new Ballantyne area has become a cultural and recreational destination.
Northeast Charlotte & UNCC Area
In the past decade, this area has seen tremendous growth and has now become a true blend of cultures, neighborhoods, and historical landmarks.

North Charlotte & Davidson
Realtor Area 1 is bordered by I-77 and Lake Norman to the West, Cabarrus County to the East and University City to the South. This area includes Huntersville, Davidson and Cornelius & offers easy access to both Charlotte and the lake area making this a desirable place to live for many families.

Re: DCPC B&W on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Lake Norman Area
Created in 1963, Lake Norman, the largest man-made lake in North Carolina, extends across four counties creating an ideal environment to work and live. It is sometimes called an "Inland Sea," with more than 532 miles of shoreline.
Union County
Established in 1842, Union County is THE fastest growing counties in North Carolina. It provides a unique blend of rural and metropolitan lifestyles. If hiking and horses are your passion, this is the place, as there are numerous greenways and trails dotting the county. In fact, Union County is home to the largest equestrian population in the entire state. (and there are a lot of nice eople too!)

Union County Court House on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Lake Wylie, York County SC
Many people have migrated to York and Lancaster Counties, South Carolina from the metro Charlotte region in the last several years. The South Carolina State line is only a short drive south of Uptown Charlotte. Its close proximity to Charlotte, bordering Lake Wylie, makes this geographical area an excellent place to live.

About RhondaGibbons

Professionally...
I love helping people find the perfect home so they will come to love my beautiful hometown Charlotte NC as much as I do!

I learned a lot in my many years in the fashion/apparel industry working with often demanding customers, building relationships, negotiating and getting things done, I decided to take the skills I learned on the "runway" and apply them to the "driveway".

Working for companies like Ralph Lauren and Levi Strauss, I learned the importance of 3D+S Details, Details, Deadlines & a Smile! I'm happy to say these skills are even more important in the home real estate market. Most realtors are ready to sell you what they have. First, I listen. I have many happy homeowners who will attest to my listening skills, but listening is, of course, only the first step - after that it takes determination and 'smarts' to help people find the perfect home.

Details and deadlines are not only important when buying a home, but even more so when listing your home for sale. This stuff is hard work, and while I take this responsibility seriously I genuinely enjoy helping my clients through the process with passion and enthusiasm, ultimately finding the perfect home for them. I love the smiles!

So whether you're buying your first home, moving up, downsizing or relocating - I look forward to listening to you, first! They don't call me "Help Me Rhonda" for nothing!

Personally....

I am co-founder with my husband Michael of MojoRiding, a cycling team (road bikes, bicycles) of 100 members that not only enjoy cycling together (riding over 3,000 miles each year) but also participate in many different activities in the Charlotte area.

Since 2005 our team has raised over $235,000 for many charities, including:
Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation
Habitat for Humanity
Multiple Sclerosis Society

I love the Colorado mountains hiking in the sun & skiing in snow. I love everything about Charleston SC. I love learning from & cheering my stepchildren Ryan(16) and Emily(13). I love my husband Michael & his passion for his amazing company Buttons of Hope (ask me about it!). I love music especially U2, Coldplay, Beach Boys (duh Help ME Rhonda), Dido and too many more to mention.
