Cheap Cruises

And seriously, I don't care if you have so much money that you don't know what to do with it all, I think you should still be looking for a good price on anything you buy. What I've found is that there are two factors in play here. And these two factors are price and quality.

I experiment at the supermarket all the time. If I've been buying a name brand item and haven't tested it against a lesser known and less expensive brand, I'll give the cheaper one a try. If this product proves to me that it's just as good as the name brand one, I'll start buying it.

But that's with food and paper goods. There's always some inherent risk that you take when you're trying out cheaper products. However, with cruise tickets, where is the quality lost? Do you think that me or some other cruise agent is going to say to you, "..well there aren't any cabins left so you're going to have to stay on one of the decks or in a life boat"? Not likely.

The worst you'll probably see is that the cabins that are available at a discounted price may not have the most desirable location on the ship. Or have no balcony. But who cares? You're looking to save cash right? Besides, you're not going to be spending a heck of a lot of time in your room anyway.

Geesh I'd stay in a closet if meant I could save hundreds of dollars on the cruise. Please be aware, however, that some travel agents and high level personnel at various cruise lines have said recently that they think we're seeing the end of the well-discounted prices run.

In all reality, based on the cruise industry's booking numbers in the past few months, they don't even have to offer discounts. But they still do. To those in the know.
