Cheap Flights to Larnaca Cyprus – Fly Cheaply this Summer and Winter

That's where low cost airlines come in. Monarch and other budget airlines have now made it more manageable for the holiday maker. So, hard up Brits and Europeans can still manage a holiday in Cyprus with the introduction of these Larnaca cheap flights.
You can get the best value from budget airlines by being prepared in advance:

(a) book your ticket as far in advance as possible to save money
(b) take a packed lunch with you (but leave the soft drinks at home)
(c) check the exact location of the destination airport and how far it is from the city you want to visit - and how to get there from the airport
(d) know your baggage limits and pack accordingly to avoid excess charges

Monarch actually has a whole host of online facilities. You can upgrade to extra leg room at 15GBP per seat. Well worth it from the reviews I read. You can also check-in online and change flights if need be. However, all customers booked on a scheduled flight have to pay for each item of checked in (hold) baggage.

On the other hand, there is no charge for hand luggage. As long as it doesn't weigh more than 10kg and the dimensions are not outside 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Checked in luggage will cost between 9.99GBP and 14.99GBP if booked online, per one way flight. However, if you pay for checked in luggage at the airport, it'll cost you 18GBP. Around 40% more!

Total checked in baggage allowance is up to 20kg per person and this can be split into up to 5 separate bags. Any checked in baggage over 20kg will be charged at excess baggage rates. The maximum weight of any 1 item of hold baggage must not exceed 32kg.

Using London Gatwick as an example; Monarch fly to Larnaca on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in high season. And it fly's back from Larnaca on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Also, Monarch now do winter flights to escape the bleak weather. During the height of winter i.e. over Xmas Period, they fly out on a Wednesday and a Sunday. And they fly back from Larnaca on a Wednesday and Sunday as well. There are some great deals during this time of year and Cyprus is the best destination to get some winter sun with its renowned 340 days of sunshine.
