Garmin is one of the best known and widely used GPS units in the world. With a variety of models of different shapes and sizes. What impressed me with this Garmin 1450LMT was that it came with lifetime maps and traffic updates. This was a very big plus point for me, as this would mean a long term purchase and excellent value for money.

What else impressed me was the 5-inch screen, having used a 3.5 inch screen previously; I noticed the map and directions much clearer on my dashboard.

The only small negative was that I found it a little difficult to get the suction pad off the window; however I have had that problem with quite few gps models I've tested.

This in no way takes away the fact this is a very impressive gps unit that is available at a very reasonable price.

What I really like about this Tom Tom is the huge amount of info you get which includes speed, distance and time. Another really great feature is the voice control. So when you are leaving for a new destination, it is much easier to say where you are going compared to having to put everything in manually.

With this model you also get lifetime road and map information updates. I also like the advanced lane feature, so if you find yourself in the wrong lane, what this gps will do is tell you how many lanes lead to which exit, so you'll know if your lane is leading you in the right direction.

On the slight downside I prefer the garmin screen, as I find the icons and commands slightly clearer to follow. However this does not take away from the fact this is an extremely impressive GPS to own.

This gps unit keeps the Tom Tom high reputation intact, what I liked about this unit was the simple menu to navigate around. With the icons relating easily to what you are searching for. I have quite big fingers myself, but found no trouble with typing in my destination. It is a very compact unit, with an impressive 4.7 inch screen. The battery life is around 2 hours, with most journeys being under 2 hours, you don't have to plug this into the cigarette adapter. I thought the mounting unit was the best of all the GPS models I have reviewed on this page. It is an integrated unit which means that you pull the device from the mount with the minimum of a fuss. There is a choice of a standard and bluetooth handsfree option too with this GPS unit.

What I found that this Garmin gps unit was the fastest in picking up satellite signals time and again. Also with a clear and loud audible voice to direct. A great feature I also found was the showing of posted speed limit and actual speed limit. The time and destination feature is very accurate too. A small minus for me was the browse map feature which added very little value to the unit, and was difficult to use.

Overall this no way takes away the fact this a solid value for money GPS for anyone to buy.

What firstly impressed me about this mount was there was no annoying sticking to the windshield. It even has a anti-thieiving function that alerts that there is a GPS unit in the car.Because it has a sliding function you are able to move it to any position you want, you can even slide it across to the passenger who can input the gps unit details on your behalf. As well as having the ability the ability to slide it closer to yourself when needed.

This especially works well with all nuvis which have that snap in the ball joint fitting. Portability is excellent too, so if you need to move the unit to another car, it is done with considerable use.

What I really like about this first its a universial mount, so I knew it was going to fit my gps unit. Secondly it is easy to place and fit the gps to the windshield. Without having to worry about it falling off the window while I am driving.

This was recommended by my friend who used to have a tomtom itouch car kit, but he broke the adapter. He then bought this adapter and it easily fits the car outlet. The thing he really like about was it had two charging cords so one should fit any gps unit.

Overall a big thumbs up for this product.

I really think is a product is a must buy because of the protection it provides if you drop it when using or travelling between vehicles. The dashmount fits conventiently on the dashboard, in any vehicle I have tested this out on.

Another neat feature is the power cord has been sized correctly, so it fits in nicely in the carrying place when you are on the move.

Great product, especially useful for both regular and long distance driving.

What a neat and easy product to use, all you do is place the nav-mat on your dash, attach the suction mount to the flat opening on the nav-mat. What I also liked about the dash pad was it didn't skid about when driving.

It is so easy to use I find it even more convenient to stick my gps to the nav-mat than putting on my windshield.

What I liked with this handheld gps unit is the best I have seen for geo-caching. Any other unit I have used has been 30 to 40 feet out. But this is spot on. When I went hiking a couple of months back, I took this with in the heavy rain, and it has a solid built feel to it.The thumb toggle has a great short cut to mark your current location. Also the satellite receiving speed was pretty awesome. I love the feature where you can autoload the coordinates too.
