Just found this... You can find a Kindle Fire for under $180 here! Buy Cheapest Kindle Fire Here
You probably know that the Kindle Fire is the hottest and gadget thingy from Amazon. You may or may not know that Amazon is a great place to buy a cheap kindle fire direct and here is the reason why. Amazon is one of if not the biggest retailer online. This means that they have warehouses all over North America and often ship within hours of processing your order. If you buy from Best Buy or some other big box store you may have a substantial wait time over buying direct from Amazon.com.

Another good reason to buy from Amazon is that their pricing is often the cheapest you'll find. Think about it this way. They designed and manufacture these Kindle Fires and then resell to other companies. They have an interest in selling them on their site and don't want others to undercut them. Much like Apple marketing strategy.

The third reason to buy from Amazon besides the quick shipping is that often they will offer Super Saver Shipping which usually means no cost to you if over a certain price point which I think is 39 dollars.

Want to buy used? Consider a refurbished Kindle Fire. You can find out more about that at Amazon. It seems to have quite a high satisfaction rating as well.

That being said, you may have to wait an extra day or two but if you want you can always pay for an expedited shipping and get it almost over night! That's awesome. I have to say I have been an avid online shopper from Ebay to Amazon to small mom and pop websites and have been most satisfied with Amazon. I suppose that's why they are still around. Good customer service and prompt product in hand.

Another place to buy a cheap kindle fire is at eBay. You can perhaps find an auction or a used cheap kindle fire for a bargain.

And yet another place to check out but use your best judgement is places like craigslist or kijiji.com. I suggest using caution and only buying local as suggested by those sites. You might find a good deal on a kindle fire but might also get scammed if you send money blindly over the net. That being said, you're a savvy shopper so you already know that ;)

Enough about where to buy - If you haven't decided to buy you should definitely have a look at some of the reviews below.

Kindle Fire Reviews

kindle fireI almost am tempted to write a big long review here but why do that when someone else has already said it better. If you want to read more about the Kindle Fire Review check it out on Amazon. There are almost 14,000 reviews.

The couple of things that I will say that are the downsides are this:

*The power button is in a bad place and can be easily or accidentally switched off.
*No GPS kind of limits the functionality a bit but again this isn't a replacement for a fully functional tablet in my opinion.
*Battery life is a bit lacking. Can be drained pretty quick.
*Browser can be painfully slow and screen a bit laggy or unresponsive.
The big 3 downsides:
* No camera
* No 3G
* No Bluetooth
But if you want those pay the extra dough and get an iPad 2 or iPad 3 when i comes out. Again not a replacement to iPad or fully functional tablet. If you want a hardcore tablet check out the Asus Eee Transformer Prime

Now the upsides:

*Beautiful IPS Screen. Comparable to the iPad.
*Simple and clean interface and easy to use.
*Screen is a bit shiny much like iPad - good if you like that but a matte screen option would be cool.
*Wonderful reading experience as it's light and portable.
*A darn good price at $199 currently.

    is Kindle Fire really a Tablet PC! Lacking a lot features and giving a lot media, the trade off is not that ballanced! Its really very interesting to see the ransformational nature of personal communication & computing technology in last 20 years.

    The analytical reasoning behind the evolution of netbooks to laptop & mobile phones to smartphones to tablet is nothing but the market force which driven the whole communication technology from miniaturization to functionality to large touch screen to portable & faster computing.

    Consumers of handheld communication devices in the whole world is currently devided in 3 main groups. The current market rockers are Kindle Fire from Amazon, iPad from Apple & Galaxy Tab from Samsung. Who will get the largest share of the pie entirely depends on the value proposition the product offers. Say, iPad2 is high priced & a highly feature loaded tablet. On the other hand, Kindle Fire is targeting low spenders who love to consume e-contents and dont bother about unlimited storage but bother about price.

    And the recent release of Samsung Galaxy Note is nothing but the merging of Tablets & Smartphones is cutting the growth of current hot sellers.

A great kindle but not an iPad replacement. I have unfortunately the original kindle which is great but nothing compared with the Kindle Fire and it has now been inherited by my loving spouse. I will probably get the iPad as well as some of the features that I want in a tablet. That being said it's an excellent eReader and the colour makes all the difference.
