One thing I would like to point out before I go into the benefits of organic cotton t-shirts is first that by wearing just a cotton t-shirt you aren't killing the planet but you aren't helping it as much either. A lot of Green ideas don't hurt the planet however some help the planet more efficient such is the case for t-shirts. I am not saying that all green movements ideas are preferences some prevent damage to Mother Nature but like I said some just help her stay healthier.

This makes it so that soil will last longer and in the long run the cotton crop will be better. A lot of these pesticides are also really bad for the ozone. That is the green movement for Mother Nature. If you are one of those people who say what's the benefit for me here is your answer. When the crops are harvested not all pesticides and chemicals are removed from the cotton and then when you wear the shirt you are transferring the pesticides and chemicals around. With organic cotton t-shirts there is no pesticides so there are no pesticides to be transferred.

1. Reuse it wear it more than once after all especially if it's an organic t-shirt
2. Hand it down to family and friends when you grow out of it
3. Give it to charity think tons of people would love to just have a shirt why not give them the old one
4. Make a shirt blanket with your favorite shirts. To some people shirts bring back memories why not make a blanket out of them
5. If the shirt is ripped why not turn it into a rag that saves you from using paper towels or having to go buy a new towel.
