A4 Printing boosts sales for Nightclub owner

Steven Gates explains in an interview how an A4 flyer printing campaign has turned his business around. He smiles happily as he stirs his drink, "Loads of people thought that printing A4 colour leaflets would just soak up more cash." he explains.

"That's not the case, if you find the right low cost A4 print, you can get a pretty good deal. I print flyers for as little as £63 including free delivery. This was done cheaply using A4 digital printing"

He points out that the quality of the A4 colour print is important, not just any A4 paper printing will do.

"When you touch A4 leaflets, the sensation sends you subliminal messages. High quality A4 full colour printing feels good to the touch - it represents your company. If your prepared to go for low quality A4 colour prints, it shows your client you probably apply the same principle to other areas of your business. Good quality A4 colour flyers send out a different signal, they show you're a premium business."

He gets up and takes me on a tour of the place. It seems he applies the high quality principle to other areas of his business. Every small piece of deco and item of furniture radiates pound signs, or is he just finding a decent deal? Back to the A4 flyers, it seems that the A4 leaflet printing isn't the only thing that matters. As well as getting cheap leaflet printing to keep the costs down, its important to get a good A4 flyer design.

"People always look for a free A4 flyer template, or do a bodge job and forget that the A4 leaflet design is just as important as the flyer quality. Some of my major competitors have tried to compete by doing A4 printing campaigns of their own. They end up spending £1000's and failing miserably."

If your getting your flyer distributed, make sure you go for A4 double sided leaflets.

1) ACTION POINT: What do you want the customer to do? E.g. call a number, visit a place on a set date, visit a web address

2) RETAINABILITY: What is stopping the potential customer throwing the leaflet away as soon as they have looked at it? E.g. a discount coupon, something free, a ref no.

3) DEADLINE: What will get the quickest results? E.g. offer expires, only on a certain day.

"Leaflet design isn't taken that seriously. People generally think that if they print flyers in the 1000's and get enough out it will spread the word. A bad designed leaflet or amateur looking A4 flyer templates can actually send out the wrong message."
