Cheap Wedding Planning for Couples on a Budget

Want a beautiful wedding, but think you can't afford it? Well, think again! Cheap wedding planning is quite easy to do once you learn the basics. I was one of the many brides who had to learn how to not overspend for my wedding, and I actually saved about $1400! I'll show you how below!!

Cheap Wedding Planning Rule #1 - Set a Budget!

Cheap wedding planning should begin with a good projected budget that should be followed closely once set. Divide the money you plan to spend into sections, such as decorations, rings, dress, tuxedos, food, photography, and anything else that you wish to include in your wedding. Set a rate that you will not exceed for each aspect. It is important to do a little research on the going rates of these factors before creating your budget.

Cheap Wedding Planning Rule #2 - Have a DIY Wedding!

Cheap wedding planning is more easily attainable if you decide to do many of the small tasks yourself, or have your family and friends do them. For example, catering a wedding reception can be a costly experience, especially if you wish to serve a full meal to your guests. You may come out cheaper to employ the help of your friends and family to cook the meal. The same goes for the music and photography.

Cheap Wedding Planning Rule #3 - Don't Overdo It!

PhotobucketIn order to have your dream wedding on the money you can afford to spend, the most essential thing to remember is that you should not overdo any aspect. Your wedding dress does not have to be a $5000 designer gown, nor does your photographer have to cost $2000. Each of those can easily be done for less than half that price. It is true that you should choose things you like, but be sure to stay grounded in your choices, as cheap wedding planning can get really thrown off when your eyes are bigger than your wallet.
