Cheap Acoustic Guitars - The Beginners Guide
Playing the guitar can be a very rewarding experience. As a beginner, most folks can only afford cheap acoustic guitars. But thats O.K. You can pick up a great sounding guitar for a couple of hundred bucks. The most important thing to remember is, you want to own a guitar that you love to hold and play.
Once you get past the basics, your finger tips start to harden up, you can put notes together and make a melody, you begin to devople a style that is all your own, when you get to that point, you have made it past the most difficult aspect of learning the guitar, and there is no looking back. You have to work through those days where your fingers just don't ever seem to go where you want them.
Again, get your hands on a guitar that you can't wait to play. That will motivate you to keep practicing. Finding good cheap acoustic guitars does not have to be difficult.

Get the guitar you want to run home to
When I first started playing guitar I brought a cheap 3/4 classical guitar for $29. It was difficult to keep in tune, the neck was so fat I hardly could get my hand around it, even with the strings pressed down as hard as I could, the thing just sounded like garbage. That's what you get with cheap guitars I was just starting out and didn't want to spend money on a quality guitar. The problem is, after playing it for a couple of weeks I quit. I lost my motivation for playing because I could hardly stand looking at the thing. It is very much worth spending a little extra cash on quality cheap acoustic guitars. I waited 2 years before I tried playing again. I went into a music store one day and picked up a Martin just for kicks, heard how sweet sounding it was and got hooked all over again.
The morale of this story is...MAKE SURE YOU LEARN ON A GUITAR YOU WANT TO HOLD AND PLAY!!

Cheap Acoustic Guitars - Is This Your First One?
Why you should buy new and not used
Being in this business as long as I have, I can tell you that I have made most of the mistakes a person can make while learning to play. I brought a used guitar for $100. The guy told me it was worth $500 brand new. I didn't know any better, so I thought I was getting a good deal. The guitar looked really cool and after playing it for 30 seconds, I brought it.Big mistake! After I got it home and played it for a while, I noticed a twanging sound every time I used the top of the neck. When someone looked at it WHO KNEW about guitars, he told me the neck was twisted. That is something you can't fix. You have to replace the whole neck. So I cut my losses and saved for another guitar.
So if you are starting out, get yourself a new guitar and plan to spend at least $100. That way you have a warranty and it's your very own baby. Until your knowledge grows, avoid taking a chance on used guitars. You will be amazed at how many quality cheap guitars you can find out there.
