Cheap Trips Without The Hassle!
This site is a by-product of trying to book a flight for my grandson to come home for a visit. It will provide people like you and me with a way to book economical (cheap) trips without all of the hassle normally involved.
My grandson is serving as a Marine, stationed in North Carolina. He was recently approved for an eight day leave to come home for a visit and asked his mother to book his tickets for the round-trip flight, as he wasn't having much luck due to time constraints.
My wife and daughter spent an entire day trying to book a flight for his trip home. They were trying to save money and book flights that worked well within the confinements of his approved leave time.
I'll relate the entire story below in case you're interested but to make the story short for now, the tickets for the round-trip were finally obtained for $847. As I thought that this seemed awfully high, I decided to do a little checking myself. Although it was too late to change tickets, I found that we could have gotten my grandson's tickets for $364. A savings of around $500!
So here I am! Building this site so that we won't make the same mistake again and so that you won't have to go through the same things that we did.
I've listed links for several different travel agencies, cruise trips, car rentals and places to book hotel rooms. It's everything that you'll need to get your trip set up without spending hours searching the internet. There's even a link for you to go for getting or re-newing your passport or visa.
I know! There are hundreds of travel agencies out there trying to convince you that they can get you the cheapest tickets. The truth is that they are all within a few dollars of each other. You can save money like the example above but which travel agency you use is not the answer. I'll explain how we could have saved that $500 and the explanation won't cost you a cent!

To explain the difference in the round-trip ticket prices that I mentioned above, I'll need to go into a little detail.We live in Iowa. and the nearest airports are in Cedar Rapids and Dubuque. The tickets from Camp Lejeune to Dubuque were $980 and for Camp Lejeune to Cedar Rapids were $847, with Cedar Rapids having the best arrival and departure times. Naturally, my wife and daughter opted for Cedar Rapids.
The driving distance for picking my grandson up was of a little concern as we all worked and had limited time ourselves. Dubuque was about 39 miles away and Cedar Rapids, about 50 miles; so either place would take close to the same amount of time. What we didn't think of was checking prices for flying into the Moline airport! It was only 56 miles from us but it was in Illinois and we just never gave it a thought.
As an afterthought, I checked the prices for flying into Moline. You guessed it, $364!
What I learned? Draw a circle around the area where you live. This circle should equal the distance that you can drive in all directions. Pick the travel agency from those listed here. Check prices from every airport in that circle to your destination. Do the same for airports near your destination. You may need to rent a car or have someone pick you up at your destination, but the savings should more than cover this.

The travel agency is not where you're going to save money! The money that you save will depend on which airports you decide to fly from and to!

Check for price of tickets between major airports! Most airlines offer some great ticket pricing between major airports and prices jump considerably when you veer off to smaller airports. You might find it cheaper to fly to a major airport, then rent a car to drive short distances to smaller cities.
A recent price check showed the price of a roundtrip ticket from Willington, NC to Moline, IL. cost $307. From Willington to Cedar Rapids, Ia., the trip cost $847. Moline and Cedar Rapids are only 100 miles apart. A short drive for a $500 savings!
If you check around, you can save even more because many airlines offer special, discount deals for travel between major stops.
