- Very interesting! I currently live in London and I love the city but it's definitely not a cheap place to live. We are definitely exploring living somewhere cheaper so it's interesting to hear of your experiences. Thanks.

- Good lens. I like to think my town of Greenville, SC is a pretty cheap place to live compared to most of America and the world.

- Interesting site. I too have elected to find a home out of the states to spend part of my retirement and my biggest motivation is the cost of living. Living on a fixed income in the US is challenging as the cost of living keeps going up faster than any possible increase in retirement income. We opted for Baja as it is still close the states and will make visits to family easier. More about our spot here

- It's hard to find a place not so expensive to live. I think the best way is traveling to that place and do a bit of research before getting there. I found a nice site about Galicia Tourism and I'm finding great information about that place. Cheers for your great job!

- So did you rent or buy a place? How cheap was the rent? How big. I have a friend who is living in Thailand that claims it is pretty cheap there also. Where in Panama did you end up?

- Very good Panama Mark! I like this lens I own my own online travel agency www.travelpartners4u.com
Check out my lens and see how I teach how easy it is to have your very own travel agency online for fun and profit! I give you 5 stars and perhaps put you on my featured lens section if you return the favor? Have fun in Panama I hear the surf is good in that region? Matt

- Useful lens that addresses some questions that an increasing number of people approaching retirement are asking themselves. Thank for some insight into retiring abroad. Check out my lens for a different perspective on Panama and I have included some great guides for retiring in Panama.

- Love it! I was living in Panama - Boquete Panama for two years. Can't wait to return as this truly was one of the cheapest places to live and the best place to retire.
