Top 10 Student Recipes

Unlike school you are probably in the college or University because you want to. You want to learn more about a subject you are really into and all you have to do now is to make the most of your time. Now it is quite likely that cooking is one of the last things on your mind especially if you have just arrived in the University. You probably know how to fry egg and bacon or make oven chips and plus there are always pizza places and kebab shops around but believe it or not  you will be sick of eating take away foods and carbohydrate- laden canteen food soon and you have to think about making something different.

Now lets be positive and think that being on a tight student budget and the lack of experience just add to the challenge of cooking. You will soon learn the basics and like me may even start enjoying it and cooking becomes a passion rather than a chore.

Here is a list of my top 10 student recipes which I still cook regularly. Recipes are for 2 people and I've calculated the approximate cost for each recipe so that it gives you a better idea about the cost of home cooking. These recipes are chosen based on being cheap, easy to make and healthy.

And one last thing; just remember that there is nothing better than a home cooked meal to cure a killing hangover:-)
