I've Been Accusing Of Being Cheap
I use coupons irregularly.
I buy the "expensive" gas and seldom worry about what gas station I buy it at.
I'll buy a $12 bottle of lotion.
People who see me standing at the pump of a Chevron think I'm wasteful, yet those who really know me call me cheap. I think that is because it takes a thrify person to understand that being thrify doesn't always mean buying the cheapest product available. Living frugally means buying the best items, or getting the most bang for your buck.

Just ask Cosmo Castorini, the plumber from Moonstruck about spending more to save money. "There are three kinds of pipe. There's aluminum, which is garbage. There's bronze, which is pretty good, unless something goes wrong. And something always goes wrong. Then, there's copper, which is the only pipe I use. It costs money. It costs money because it saves money."
