Welcome to my recipe for Cheesy Pasta Casserole

This is a recipe that goes over very well with my family and if there are any leftovers they are usually taken by someone for lunch the next day! Cheesy Pasta Casserole is a very simple recipe and easy meal to put together. It doesn't take too many ingredients and only an hour to bake. You don't even have to be a good cook, as this is pretty goof proof. If your family loves cheese I'm sure this will be a hit with them. I'll give you all the steps to make this deliciously simple casserole dish. I like to make it for nights that everyone is rushing in and out to activities or meetings, that way everyone can just help themselves as time permits. Hope you enjoy this and give it a try!

Recipe for Cheesy Pasta Casserole

1 pkg. 500 g pasta noodles (your choice of noodles)
1 can mushroom soup ( I like the wild mushroom soup but reg. is fine)
1/2 cup of lowfat milk
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 pound lean or organic ground beef
1/2 cup frozen peas ( or other frozen vegies like corn) Optional
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup grated Cheddar Cheese (or more depending on size of dish)

Bring pasta noodles to a boil in large pot of water. Cook as to directions on package. In a frying pan cook ground beef and the chopped onion until the beef is no longer pink. As this is cooking, stir mushroom soup with milk and add spices.

When noodles are done, drain and return to pot. Stir in cooked ground beef and onions. Add the frozen vegetables and mushroom soup mixture to pot. Stir until well mixed.

Spoon this into a large casserole dish. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese to cover completely. Cover with tinfoil and bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 1 hr. Remove tinfoil for the last 15 minutes of baking so cheese can brown a little. Serve and enjoy!

Cheesy Pasta Casserole Tip

If you place your cheese grater in the freezer for several minutes before using it, it will make cleaning your grater much easier as the cheese won't stick to cold metal.
