According to his Squidoo Bio: Chef Keem aka Achim Thiemermann, has been a member since January 29 2008, has rated 3,177 lenses, favorited 2,289, and has created 152 lenses.
Achim Thiemermann donates their royalties to Squidoo Charity Fund and Operation Helmet. This member's top-ranked page is Best Tres Leches Coconut Macaroons
What the Squidoo Bio does NOT tell you is that Chef Keem is one of the most supportive, generous, good fun Lensmasters to have ever been on Squidoo. The Bio also does not say that Chef Keem is the only Lensmaster on Squidoo who publicly admits he has a dual personality. But more about that later!
This lens was published as my 60th Birthday Tribute to my dear Chef-friend on Squidoo and it is fitting that there's messages from other members of the Squidoo Community as well.
And now we are gathering again to say:

Chef Keem's Lensography
The Chef inspired me to make my Lensography
When I first joined Squidoo, I did several things:This is how I found out about "lensographies", which was a phrase coined by The Fluffanutta.
In his Lensography Achim sets out his open and honest views on Squidoo and life in general and the lens was the very deserving winner of the 2008 Giant Squid Best Lensography Award.
I learned so much from that lens and one of my favourite tips was to put a YouTube video at the beginning of the lens, so you can listen to music while you read through. Of course the trick is to use something relevant - a YouTube video featuring something heavy metal probably wouldn't suit a lens on Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II! But Duffy's "Distant Dreamer" certainly suited MY Lensography.
The Chef asks the question "Am I a certifiable nutcase?" and I think the answer has to be "YES". Go visit his lens, to see why and check out some of his other hilarious lenses.

Chef Keem was one of my very first squid friends and has helped me so much since I joined Squidoo. When I made my "In a Flash" lens about our burn injury story, I e-mailed Chef as soon as I hit the publish button, and asked him what I should change or fix...
He e-mailed me back and said "don't change a thing". Then he did some Chef magic and e-mailed a link to my lens to everyone he knew...by the next morning we had over 50 comments on that one lens...it was amazing...we even had a comment from "Seth" himself!
Whenever I get stuck on a lens I ask myself "WWCD?" What Would Chef Do?
Then it's like a little bird whispers a great idea into my head, and I'm unstuck! Chef is one of the reasons why I strive to always make really high quality lenses. His lens about what an Angel looks for in a great lens inspired me to try to always make Angel worthy lenses.

During the early months of 2009, Chef Keem seemed to drop off the Squidoo radar. For someone who had been so active publishing new lenses, supporting new lensmasters with sensitive critiques in the Squidu Forum and flying around all over the place as a Squidoo Angel, he was missed by many, including me.
Just like Gandalf in the early part of Lord of the Rings, The Chef would pop up every now and then, so we knew he was OK but then he would disappear again. Then we found out the reason why.
The Chef's Squidfriend Squidster had invited Achim to join up with her to publish a new website called SquidLog. In my view, SquidLog is one of the best Squidoo-related websites on the internet and it has definitely set a very high standard for anyone else planning a similar venture.
In early April, I received an e-mail from Achim inviting me to join the team "seeing as you have so much free time". Yeh, right!
I'd just got my Angel Wings, and Achim did not know it but I had also been invited to join a new group on Squidoo called Rocket Moms. This was my response:
"You have caught me at a VERY weak moment. I am suicidal. I have been [INFO REMOVED BY AJ AS IT IS TOO CONFIDENTIAL]. I am losing the will to live!!!!!!!!!!!
To add to the agony the [INFO REMOVED BY AJ AS IT IS TOO CONFIDENTIAL] OH MY GO.............OK, I am going up to the roof now...................."
However, history shows that I came back down from the roof and I am wondering if this is the first instance on Squidoo of a Lensmaster saving the life of another?

When I looked at this lens for the first time, yesterday morning, I broke into tears over this out-pour of kindness from all of you dear, dear friends in our community. I had an extremely busy day with my candy orders (Thank God!) and a big party in the evening.
Now, it's the 'morning after', and I'm still reeling from this incredible experience of my best birthday ever, created by you, AJ, Squidster, Poddys and Deb, Julie, Drifter, and so many, many more of you here in this guest book. I'm so humbled, I feel so loved, and again - I'm bawling my eyes out...it's hard trying to put into words what I'm feeling.
Of course I'm grateful, overwhelmed, surprised, honored...but there's something else in addition to all that. I think it has something to do with the genius of Squidoo's design (Seth, Megan) as a platform where truly good people have a chance to find and get to know each other.
We feel encouraged to show our hearts, minds, weaknesses and strengths... and in turn - this brings us closer together in a very 'real-life' way. We forge long-lasting friendships and trust. We truly care about each other. The lines between online and offline begin to blur - we build relationships.
All of you here in this guest book have embraced this beautiful essence of Squidoo and with your comments, you show me that I am part of this vortex of human kindness and love. You enrich my life tremendously - and for that I am truly grateful.

Ooops - I just realized, I can't lie about my age anymore!
Actually, I never did. I'm very comfortable with my age. It took me long enough to get here...lol. And in my mind, I'm still the rock 'n roller from years past. Does this mean my body is evolving faster than my mind? "De-volving", maybe?
I got it! It's YOUR company that keeps me young (while my butt gets wrinkled from sitting in this chair too much). Yup! :)

Actually, I never did. I'm very comfortable with my age. It took me long enough to get here...lol. And in my mind, I'm still the rock 'n roller from years past. Does this mean my body is evolving faster than my mind? "De-volving", maybe?
I got it! It's YOUR company that keeps me young (while my butt gets wrinkled from sitting in this chair too much). Yup! :)

- When I looked at this lens for the first time, yesterday morning, I broke into tears over this out-pour of kindness from all of you dear, dear friends in our community. I had an extremely busy day with my candy orders (Thank God!) and a big party in the evening.
Now, it's the 'morning after', and I'm still reeling from this incredible experience of my best birthday ever, created by you, AJ, Squidster, Poddys and Deb, Julie, Drifter, and so many, many more of you here in this guest book. I'm so humbled, I feel so loved, and again - I'm bawling my eyes out...it's hard trying to put into words what I'm feeling.
Of course I'm grateful, overwhelmed, surprised, honored...but there's something else in addition to all that. I think it has something to do with the genius of Squidoo's design (Seth, Megan) as a platform where truly good people have a chance to find and get to know each other. - Chef Keem is one of the best peeps I've met here on Squidoo. I struggle to account our first interaction...damn menopause and brain overload...yet one thing I know, it was positive and had me going back to find out more about this most intriguing personality.
