WHY WAGGLEPOP?...

I think Wagglepop is THE alternate selling venue that while still young and going through its growing pains, both sellers and buyers would benefit from using the site...how?

My Nightmare...

I used to be one of the original 'oldtimers' on eBay when it was a private enterprise, and the 30 or so sellers back then would 'sit' in the Cafe and talk about our hopes and dreams for what eBay could do for us as businesses in a new selling venue...online! No B+M, no employees to have to pay for...wow...the sky was the limit! That dream ended for me when eBay went public, almost immediately the attitude changed, most of the oldtimers left when we got our first tastes of scamming, people stealing items, threatening negative feedback if not refunded their money. Being in Jewelry, my category of items was hardest hit, and I finally had to bid eBay adieu when they wouldn't help protect the sellers from being ripped off.

After a decade of doing business locally in weekend art and gem and mineral shows I decided this year to try to go back to online sales; I decided to go read the boards first to see what people had to say after all of this time....imagine my shock, and disbelief at the 100's of 1000's of angry postings from both buyers and sellers I found there - I was blown away by the HATE being spewed on the boards at eBay! I read them for about an hour and decided then that I wasn't ever going to go back there and try to do business in that cesspool! A post caught my eye, 'where are the HONEST SELLERS going now?'...I clicked on it, and a powerseller had posted that they had found several other places to sell, bidville (now out of business), OnLine Auctions, and Wagglepop....the name WagglePop intrigued me, so I checked them out....

My Dream...

I had to look twice, WagglePop is so much like eBay in the design of the site, its very easy to navigate...I signed up for a free account when I couldn't read the boards without signing up first, then immediately went to the boards and read them. I was so surprised, the boards were filled with nothing but helpful, encouraging posts...it was so much like the old "Cafe" I couldn't believe it! I signed up for a seller's account, and have been happily selling since!

In the four months since I started on Wagglepop, I have had over 280 successful sales, and at least until now, not a single deadbeat buyer!...Incredible numbers for a new seller starting out, I don't have a customer base anywhere else that I can direct to my listings on Wagglepop - I know I wouldn't have had the same success rate on any other site!
