About us

My genuine love for all animals has led me, Alexandra Nash, to found Chelsea Dogs so that I can use my natural ability to care for dogs on a daily basis. I have had a passion for dogs from a very early age.

The first family dog Oscar, a black labrador, entered the Nash family the day after my 7th Birthday and spent his life as a pampered 'Chelsea Dog'. He loved to play hide and seek, piggy in the middle and tug of war!

Then came Fergus, another black labrador. Fergus was truly a pampered pooch! As a puppy Fergus was house, obedience and command trained solely by me. Fergus, along with his pet passport, was then taken on all sorts of expeditions. He travelled to France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria but his favourite place was Tuscany in Italy.

From basic puppy training, puppy walking and socialisation to caring for elderly dogs with less energy or dogs that require special medical attention during the day, I aim to give each dog the full care and attention that it deserves. Every dog, especially puppies or young dogs have a lot of energy. If they do not get the chance to burn it off during the day, it can lead to destructive behaviour. This is why my dog walks are full of great games and plenty of interaction with other dogs which will provide the mental and physical stimulation that each dog needs daily to remain 'balanced' and happy. Dogs that do not get enough exercise can become overweight which in turn can lead to various health risks including diabetes, respiratory disease and heart disease. Doggy day care is a great way for your dog to interact with other dogs and humans and become well socialised.

Dogs are pack animals after all and doggy day care on a regular basis can give your dog the natural feeling of belonging to a pack. The dogs will go walking together in the parks and play together during the day, getting plenty of socialisation and mental stimulation that will keep them happy and healthy.

I like to make a point of meeting all my clients prior to providing any service so that you can meet me and feel comfortable with me as I will be the person looking after your pet at all times. We can also discuss any specific requirements that you may have for your pet. If you prefer your dog to be kept on a lead when out walking or your dog needs special medication during the day, I will be happy to provide you with a unique, loving and caring service. I treat all my clients dogs as if they were my own. They will be pampered with buckets of toys, loads of fresh water, fluffy beds and of course the occasional treat is always well earned!

I firmly believe in delivering a truly personal service to all my clients and I do not outsource any clients to other dog walkers or other pet care companies.

With a Canine First Aid Certificate under my belt, you can feel comfortable that your dog will be in safe hands and if anything should happen, the right person is on hand!
